Part of a CD project with Cutts Cook / Ruffcut Studio. Bare bones writing demos were taken into the studio and produced By Karl Cutruff. It was a while ago.. it really was a gift to be able to work with Karl. we were both going through a lot personally at the time. Its a wonder how tracks like this came out of those truly hard times. The record " Always a good Time " was never released... I am thinking about it now... 

The song itself was written during the Bush Bailouts... dastardly deeds by politicians ruining our lives.. still relevant today.

The Dow is sinking..yeah so am I
aint no use for me to sit and cry
Bailin out the big three well thats insanity
give that thirty billion bucks to me
A top executive I may not be..
one step from the skids and poverty
I fire all the fat cats and send em back to school to learn their ABC's

On CNN they got the talking heads
and top advisors from the feds
economic masterminds with empty promises and fat behinds
talkin all slick and scholarly
Now I aint got no college degree
but I attended hard knock university
and if you cant cut the mustard 
its time to call it quits and find a different J.O.B

A fusion of late 90s demoscene and modern production. Digital bells cascade through precise reverb spaces while FM bass patterns echo Amiga-era compositions. Tracker-style arpeggios interweave with contemporary granular synthesis, creating glitch textures impossible on vintage hardware. The track bridges two eras – classic SoundBlaster-style samples meet high-resolution sound design, all while maintaining that essential demo scene spirit.

Digital Nostalgia (been there)

This is now the extended and collaborative version with Roberto B  (@2roberto2), under the title of  "Transience (Extended Collaborative Version)", combining creatively my recent track, "Transience (Piano)", https://soundcloud.com/alexander-mihailov-96713983/transience-piano, in my work-in-progress album "Again" (2025), with his recent track "Suspense 6", https://soundcloud.com/2roberto2/suspence-6, that appeared on SC on 30 January 2025. My piano track was composed spontaneously in GarageBand iOS in the evening of 28 January 2025. "Transience (Extended Collaborative Version)" was arranged and mixed in Logic Pro by Alex M on 11 February 2025 and released on SoundCloud in the late evening (in Europe) of 13 March 2025.

The artwork cover for the album and all tracks in it uses a painting by Roberto B titled "Horloge - Le Temps" of 20 November 2024 annotated by Alex M in Mac OS Preview on 21 February 2025 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.
