Vampire Carnival

V) Every year the carnival comes to town 
and people come from miles around 
to play the games and rides the rides,  
we had the time of our lives..   

V) But in a dark and quite corner of this place, 
I saw a shadow without a face
It was 100 years ago to the day, 
the shadow took my life away.

PC) I can’t remember if I felt the bite, 
that turned me into a creature.. of the night

There must be some kind of magic in this place, 
that for a moment, lets me rejoin the human race

Kevin Kilberry is a Songwriter writing across different genres. I have written over 100 songs in the categories of R&B, Country, Rock, Folk, Gospel/Inspirational, Blues, Indi Pop and Rock. I am self-taught and have come to love the craft and have a deep appreciation for the industry and the artists that are its soul.

Recently I entered one of my songs in the 2023 USA Songwriting Competition and won 1st place in the R&B category for my song The Man You See.  The song was performed by a friend of mine Jon Rappa who is a brilliant signer and musician.
 
Before songwriting I spent a career in the software business building a marketing business from scratch.  I live in Illinois with my wife and 9 adopted cats we saved from the wild and shelters.
