The Cast Project ////

The overall goal will be to distribute the creative energies of the artists, unbound by tempo or genre. It is to express pure creative freedom and simply allow each artist to project themselves upon this platform.

The Concept//
4 artists, each of those artists provide 4-6 samples which best represent their sound.

The samples are used to create the artists individual Casts.

Kenny Campbell is a DJ and producer from Glasgow, Scotland and is one half of crazy techno mentalists Bone Skippers. His sound pushes into the realms of hard industrial punishment, pulling on nuts acid sounds from the 90’s with distorted kicks and piercing percussion.

Having embraced the harder side of electronic music upon discovering Mescalinum United’s “We Have Arrived” in 1991, Kenny started collecting early Rotterdam and Industrial Strength records. Inspired by DJ’s like Lenny Dee, Producer and DJ Ruffneck, he bought a set of turntables and soon found himself playing regularly in the local under 18’s club but was constantly being asked to stop …………….. for playing too fast and hard.

His techno education began attending after accidentally wandering into the wrong tent at a mega-rave. Since then, techno has taken main stage in his quest to bring an industrial techno onslaught to the masses.

2015 seen him join forces with Huck Farper to form Bone Skippers, a production duo with no restrictions and no set musical genre. Both had very similar tastes and resentment for bland, boring techno so embarked on a dual mission to create industrial mayhem, a mayhem which is vigorously rattled out by artists including 14anger, Dep Affect and Mark EG. The mighty Paul Birken and iFormat amongst others have remixed them and in turn they’ve been remixing artists such as Matt tdK and Noach.

Individually and as Bone Skippers, he’s released on many labels including Club Poison, Monolith and Variance and has much more in the pipeline including some very noisy live shows.

He hosts “Industrial Wasteland”, on “Fnoob Techno Radio”, showcasing both certified and new artists and has appeared many times on other established transmissions like “Darkfloor Sound” and for DVNT for their “Mantis” show. He’s also resident at “Wax Factory”, Glasgow, a steam-pit of a club, booking artists including Jerome Hill, Neil Landstrumm and 14anger.

Over the years he’ been fortunate to play in Rotterdam, London and even Sri Lanka, and with gigs in Germany and Holland on the horizon, it’s safe to say many more people will be converted to his dark side.

...born 1980 in Hamburg, Germany. in 1996 i discovered the world of hard electronic music...
 and immediately fell in love with it... i never heard music with that extreme energy and passion behind it before...
 in 1997 i decided to create music myself... my style back then was mostly experimental hardcore, breakcore and speedcore...
 in 2000 i had my first release then, my 12" on Blut recordings.
 later that year, Betty Bombshell and me started a show on the terrestrial radio station "FSK" in Hamburg.
 the idea of the show was to broadcast music from the experimental and hard music scenes to an audience that might have not much contact with that kind of sound before. Betty left the show in 2001. 

 there was still a need for that kind of thing in Hamburg; Sampler19 and me teamed up, and we created the "Hamburg Hardcore Radio" show.
 apart from playing old and new records and tracks from the hard scenes on air, we also did many all-night shows, featuring a lot of guest DJs. later, The Man Unknown and DJ Escada joined us, and we started a crew that did the radio shows together.

 in 2002 a 12" by me was released on Praxis, i was very happy about this release, but i do not want to hype myself here, so i won't say too much.
 later that year my 12" on Black Monolith came out, which was again a bit different than my earlier releases, because it was an Hardacid/Acidcore EP.
 2002 was also the year when me and Sampler19 started the "All-Out Demolition!" parties in Hamburg. later, DJ Escada and The Man Unknown joined our crew there, too.
 the idea of All-Out Demolition! was to create a party series for the extreme, interesting and experimental types of Hardcore and Breakcore - parties for that type of sound only happened very rarely in Hamburg back then.
 in 2003, an album by me was released on Widerstand records. but again, i do not want to hype myself too much. the sound was in the various "styles" i produced in so far... breakcore, noize, ambient...

today the styles of the music i produce include breakcore, acidcore, doomcore and dark ambient.
