After releasing Louie Vega and The Martinez Brothers’ ‘Let It Go’ earlier this summer, Defected now deliver a remix from Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla. The original record, a homage to NYC’s rich Latin American dance culture, was as slick, soulful and groove-filled as expected from two generations of the city’s finest. Now one of dance music’s most in demand artists turns his hand at the Nuyorican house cut, bringing his signature club-ready sound to the original. Maintaining Marc E. Created as an outlet to explore his soulful, spiritual influences, Robert Hood’s Floorplan project has become a name synonymous with exquisitely produced, gospel-inspired house music. Welcoming daughter Lyric to the Floorplan fold in 2014, the pair have been behind some of the last decade’s best loved cuts like ‘Tell You No Lie’ and ‘Never Grow Old’. Now Floorplan debut on Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company imprint to deliver two-tracker ‘Right There / Holy Ghost’, a divine dose of house brimming with soulful warmth and dancefloor energy. Opening the package with ‘Right There’, Robert’s house and techno personas seamlessly blend, hypnotic bleeps and throbbing chords married together by a crackling spoken vocal sample. On the flip ‘Holy Ghost’ maintains the irrepressible energy of the previous track, as piano-laced breakdowns, a body-moving bassline and a roaring vocal on a persistent loop make for another excellent cut from the pair.

From running parties (Flaunt-It, 10 years plus), owning a distribution company (Essential Direct Ltd, one of the most successful Uk Dance Music distributors for the last 10 years), owning and running an online digital promotional site "Promo Fizz", owning an mp3/community site (Mp3toburn) and owning his own record label, no one can say Kevin hasn't contributed to today's dance market!

Nowadays Kevin spends the majority of his time tucked down in the studio and in the last year alone has had releases on Stealth, Toolroom, Deeperfect, Hotfingers to name a few, with 2 of Umek's 1605 label's biggest three releases from the last year! Whilst at the weekends he spends his time djing, gigging at some of the best clubs in the world.

Kevin's label World Sound Recordings, now approaching it's 50th release, already with No.1 hits on the leading online digital websites Beatport /Traxsource) continues to go from strength to strength. This tech house / techno / house label gives Kevin the ideal opportunity to express what he has learnt from the industry and to show case all his new individual productions but also work along side other talented producers as he signs some great material! To date working with the likes of  Jesse Garcia, Juan Kidd, Kid Massive, Paul Harris, Felix Baumgartner, Patric La funk & the Hoxton Whores to name a few with it’s direction focused around the current underground dance scene. Throughout it's first year the label pushed heavily to establish itself amongst the stronger credible labels, having plenty of success with it's releases and is regularly supported by numerous A list dj's.
