Pretty sure this was actually 2002 - 2003 was my first enchanted and rave... when I saw the flash player ad for it online it had crescendos of xtc in the background as it'd featured the year before... hearing it for the first time was like I'd discovered the backdoor to reality after living a sheltered childhood....  2004 was freeformation a bit later around the time of like atomic orbital etc.... Either way you blokes left a fucking mark in my brain and on this city. I'm still feeling the aftershocks 20 years later from the bomb that went off in my brain.

This track was my first Nu Energy vinyl. Been addicted since then.

In 2002 I was in year 9 at high school and bought Bonkers 8... followed by 9, 10 and by 2003 it was 11. I had never been lucky enough to see any of this music played live. Your first Enchanted in 2002 was just prior to me being able to get out to my first rave. By 2003 I was lucky enough to make it to my first Enchanted but sadly this was 1 year after you first played there. However in late 2003, I remember sneaking into a club where I later stumbled out into the beer garden to find all of those classic banging tunes being played by DJ Torque. All these tunes that I thought only I had ever heard on my headphones, being played out loud, with people cranking to it... It blew my mind, I asked the DJ "what is this actually called??"    He said "FREEFORM!"    Before I knew that, I used to call it hardcore-trance. So it's safe to say that after another 2 years waiting patiently... it was the most blind blowing experience to witness the whole crew come over for this showcase!

This distinct moment, Russ (Torque) fuckin lost it. You know how alot of the time people don't really pay attention to what the MC is saying.. well I don't think many people actually knew what he just said in this bit.

I dealt with a lot of mocking from people about the sounds I was into, but along with freeform becoming one of the most respected and loved genres in the scene, it was awesome to also see the other names like Hixxy, Scott Brown, K-Komplex, Robbie Long and A.M.S all play at these parties, and UKHardcore (all that it includes), finally getting the respect it deserved!!!

Trance Classics (Let's 'ave It!) (Episode 2)

Recorded live on the night of Friday 1st December 2023 using an ambient recorder in order to try and capture the whole atmosphere, Timewarp are happy to present “The Live Sets”. As with anything live there can be discrepancies in sound and these recordings are no different but they have been mastered in order to try and provide the best audio experience we can. Timewarp is a vinyl only night based in Bournemouth, UK showcasing local talent and legends from the past 30 years bringing you the best in Trance, Hard Trance, Techno and Hard House.

Feedback from the event has been brilliant with many people commenting that they haven’t seen or heard a night like in 20 years. Whether you were there and want to relive the night over and over again or are just interested to see what all the buzz is about, these recordings are being made available so you can do just that.

Insanity DJs comeback

Wow, what a f*ckin party!! Enchanted is a yearly event run by Australia's most up for it party town Adelaide. Every year this event attracts up to 9000 people who just wanna dance their nuts off! This was the first year any DJ's from the Nu Energy Collective have supplied the talent. Sharkey and Kevin Energy were the chosen ones and what a party it was. Sharkey ripped up the mic for most the night and still had the energy to give a wicked DJ set at 8am in the morning! BIG UP ADELAIDE for rocking and giving it your most as always! Enjoy the set.
