As co-founder of the Music From Memory label, UK born but Berlin based Jamie Tiller has encouraged us all to take time out, go slow and get lost in some essential Balearic, neo-classical and minimalist works by legends old and new. As well as working with celebrated Italian composer Gigi Masin, the label has put out the work of ambient super group Gaussian Curve and Joan Biblioni amongst others. The next project for these obscure gem lovers is a timely re-issue of UK band The System and as such Tiller and co are doing fine work as historical treasure hunters. 

Jamie —also part of the Red Light Records team— DJs all round Europe and as such has put together a mix for our series that shows where he is at. It proves him to be a lover of colourful and harmonious melody, of beachy guitar licks and sun kissed sounds that bounce along on a buoyant groove. Flashes of 80s sass, pumping euro disco and slick, classic sounding house are all part of the most pleasing puzzle.

Los Angeles based DJ and producer Cooper Saver is a  responsible for the Far Away party, mixtape series, and radio show on Dublab. Over the years, Cooper has brought unique and underrated talent to LA for his monthly all-night loft party - previous and regular guests include Floating Points, Young Marco, Tim Sweeney, Tornado Wallace, and many more. In addition to throwing his own parties, Cooper regularly DJs across the USA and Europe ranging from concert settings to warehouse raves. Apart from throwing events and releasing tapes, Cooper has been making music in recent years including remixes on DFA Records, and even started a label called Distant Works with his close friend and frequent collaborator Daniel T.

Clandestino 078 - Cooper Saver

Just out of the oven, Gop Cast 012 is ready to be served! Who made the stuffing was Dirty Dave, an icon of Los Angeles' vivid scene. Renowned not only for creating amazing sets, but also for his gigantic (and enviable) record collection. In this episode, the very first track, "Silhouettes" by Floating Points, already ensues the variety of sonic facets that he works through the mix. One of those to just play and loose yourself into.
