JAPAU has found his way into our playlist in early 2021 by leaving a cheeky comment on a WNDRLST set. Since then, he has dominated our playlist, and his mad sets have given structure to our long workdays. He was the first artist we heard that managed 150 bpm or more without sounding like a lunatic at the peak of his amphetamine binge. His label PA•RA•DO•XON 030, was one of the first we reached out to, and we are thrilled that he has agreed to contribute to our project. He will be part of the first event in a series that we have planned. We would also like to thank him for always being there for us when we have technical questions, treating us with kindness, and embracing our madness. Up this week on our FWP Series is TOLAX, the  co-founder & owner of Fremd Kollektiv.

Across the deserts of Tunisia, to Germany his love for sound knows no bounds. His unique ear for sounds was carefully developed during the long hours spent working in a local music store. He is now known to explore a wide array of styles. By the end of the 2000’S after organizing some successful open air and secret parties, he began experimental mixing with select electronic music tracks.

Building a strong foundation from his previous industry experience, he  has since developed a solid career as a DJ & producer improving his technical skills across a variety of with equipment. TOLAX is still deeply involved in the alternative scene of Tunisia & Germany primarily as a DJ, but also a host, stage tech, sound, and light festivals and raves working alongside the likes of Richie Hawtin.

Inspired by artists such as Dax J , Paula Temple, P.E.A.R.L, and Perc; he took steps towards carving his own unique blend of dark, hard techno from the heart of the techno scene in Germany and has since appeared in the notorious HÖR bathroom.

Kevin Tramp was born in Heidelberg in 1991 but grew up in Hockenheim.
Techno played a role in his formative years.
He began to first mix in 2012 with several friends, quickly finding and developing his own style, .
In 2015, he officially began to play under the artist name Kevin Tramp.
He has adapted his style over time, but it is developing and evolving further and further and is inspired by newly collected impressions. Driven by powerful bass passages and rousing sounds. He beats the pulse of the times.
