kev/null (Kevin Cheng) grew up trying to make mixtapes by overdubbing cassettes and blending tracks together. Today, he puts those ones and twos together for a variety of breakbeat, ghetto funk, future house, and chill house beats.

Whether it's in an basement club in Hong Kong at peak hour, sunset on a beach in Thailand, in a dusty whiteout on an art car shaped like a giant brain at Burning Man, or in a massive club sound system in San Francisco, his infectious energy and track selection sets the right mood and gets the the crowd moving.

He's a member of the San Francisco collective, The Space Cowboys, and had the fortune to share billing with artists such as Wes Smith, Stanton Warriors, A. Skillz, and Lee Burridge.

Breakfast of Champions + It’s a New Day is always the best party of the year and I love the event because it’s indeed a new day and everyone is there full of optimism for a fresh start. It’s always an honor to play there and it was also my first time playing on the Mog, about a decade after dancing to DJs on the Mog inspired me to DJ! Habitat Season 2 - AIRGLO support

What a huge honor to play my inaugural Reno Decompression set at my favorite venue, Dead Ringer Analog Bar. The entire event was fantastic with half a dozen stages, four bars, a ton of art cars, food trucks, performers, and vendors from 3pm until 6am all around Reno's Brewery District.

9PM on Saturday is early times for Reno but the dance floor filled up quick! Thank you to all that came to support. This set is a bit of a different vibe for me, with a flow of progressive house, melodic techno, indie dance, and maybe even some tech house. Yet somehow, as always happens, it still sounds like me. I hope you enjoy!

Karl the Fog is the undisputed king of summer in San Francisco. During the month of Fogust (known as August anywhere north, south, east, or west of SF), I played sets with these tracks at a few daytime events including the Daybreaker Summer Boat Party and Wild Feather's long-running Beyond The Fence playa fashion trunk show. "Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

Art piece: Awakening

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

Thanks to all the happy faces who stayed up all night or who set their dusty alarm clocks to come and dance with us Wednesday morning. Having been on the other side of the speakers for many a sunrise it was a treasured moment to play this music, which holds a lot of emotions for many of us.

We want to thank Fleetwood Mac for the original magic and Robot Heart for creating the opportunity to crank it loud and proud. The edits and remixes included were created by us (Roxanne Roll and Smooth Sailing) and many of our producer friends who we’d like to thank for their work and passion: Psychemagik, In Flagranti, Antenna Happy, Twin Sun, Dean Kenny, Youth Edits, Cosmic Kids and Trail Mix.
