I had the incredible honor of playing on the main stage of FnF this year at 10:45pm. The theme of this year's campout was, "Balls" so the set features a couple of original tracks I made to go along with the theme. This week, we are starting a series of live recordings from the inaugural Unison Campout. Unison was a project Space Cowboys have been a part of since the beginning—combining the forces of many communities and crews to raise money during the pandemic with livestreams and this was the first all in-person event!

It makes sense then to open the series with @Lowdeka, whose killer set opened up Saturday after the ceremony and tore up the dance floor!

About Lowdeka:
Lowdeka is a Producer/Dj and California native who has three decades in the various incarnations of the west coast underground culture. As a b-boy (break dancer) battling his way through the 90's and as a Dj since 1999. This has had a profound influence on his music style which can be heard in a variety of genres.  As a producer, Lowdeka is in pursuit of the perfect amalgamation of the sounds that inspire him; funky bass lines, hype breaks, head bobbing rhythms, aggressive drops and an unrelenting energy is shared amongst an array of genres that make up his unique style.

What an amazing experience Love Burn 2023 was. A highlight was definitely getting to play at The Freakeasy's Kitty Kat Island on Saturday night to an amazing crowd and in front of…an articulated giant cat that shoots lasers! LAZER CAT.

I also had the opportunity to play a lot of the original tracks I'd been working on for the past year including one I did the weekend before the Burn and another I wrote specifically for the Burn. I hope you enjoy this journey! It's got a little something for everyone.

REMASTER from an old analog mixtape for the '2AM Side' of my second mix tape DESERT FUNK, best copy we could find!  Back when the Chemical Brothers were still the Dust Brothers, this one helped me finally land some local LA gigs after getting some initial interest as a resident Moontribe DJ.  All vinyl, and a little rough around the edges mix-wise as I was really just starting to DJ, this felt like when I was finally finding 'my sound' and things were starting to flow for me.  I think it also captures a bit of what was really a very special time in EDM and early LA underground dance culture which I feel so lucky to have been a part of.
