The Dashing Gents- All Fall Down

During my teenage years, I composed quite diligently, creating many themes and tracks for my own enjoyment on my old Yamaha keyboard. However, that ended abruptly when I reached my twenties. I bought a new keyboard (the old one had broken down — a very sad moment), more advanced and expensive, but somehow I wasn’t able to do much with it, almost as if the magic was lost. That hiatus lasted a decade.
It was not a wasted decade, though, because I plunged deeply into listening to 18th- and 19th-century classical music, refining my taste and shaping my own musical identity.
The main theme of this Rondo somehow heralded a new era of composing. During a boring meeting with some association committee 7-8 years ago, my mind drifted far away, and the theme just appeared out of nowhere, almost completely fleshed out.
It was then that I became certain it was time to return to music.  Last month I've finally felt obliged to do a proper honour to the melody and to build a piece around it.

After the fuss my remixes did on SoundCloud, the lies that have been spread about me, that I would make money out of them, I've decided to proceed another way : I don't publish my remixes anymore, I just play them in a djmix. Humans are like weathercocks and it's sometimes enough of an infamous dm filled with lies they wouldn't bother to counter-check, to make them change their mind, forgetful of their engagements. It couldn't go on like that. No possible contest anymore.

Now, the Pisces Era... Kali Yuga, the darkest times of Deep Matter, started with it : nuff said, or you need precisions? The Pisces, mastered by Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, are the last sign of the zodiac and mean Full Destruction, before the Aries can rise again. Human Group, during those dark times, is a nasty pyramid of people who feed themselves on each others, driven by their Ego, their personal interest - corruption is everywhere and will reach the highest possible level - dark people will rule, fall, and be replaced with darker people - Times of heavy pains... At their end, in perspective, the hard work accomplished over the Aquarius Era, that started not long ago, and that will crush this pyramid to make it the Circle the Human Group, harmonized, has to become - when, along this process, they will understand what Karma is... "SurAlicja" is a journey into the world of surrealism, combining elements of "Alice in Wonderland" and the work of René Magritte. The title is a play on words that combines "surrealism" and "Alice." The lyrics evoke the magical, often absurd atmosphere of "Alice in Wonderland," where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur. At the same time, we incorporated a motif from Rene Magritte's painting "The Lovers," where the characters' faces and heads are wrapped in white cloth, symbolizing mystery and the concealment of truth. The combination of these two inspirations creates a dreamlike atmosphere. The piece prompts reflection on the boundaries of imagination and reality.

American Singer-Songwriter born in Nyack New York. Completed his first EP in 2013 with The Chime Bombs. The band was based out of NYC bringing elements of the underground NYC Rock an Brooklyn Indie scene. In 2018 he completed his first LP called "Kev Rio and The Dashing Gentlemen". Working with Producer Alby Cohen out of Size McMusic the 11 song album experiments with various electronic, psychedelic, and Jazz influences. Currently Kev Rio is working on his 3rd Album in Saint Petersburg FL out of Zen Recordings. The album is focused on a acoustic/vintage Americana vibe and expected to be completed at the end of 2023
