FIrst one since January from me, and it took a lot longer than I thought it would to get another mix done, but I feel it's very much been worth the wait as I feel that it's the best mix that I've done.  Starts of fairly light but gets darker and more intense as it goes on - I'm realy chuffed with how it builds as it progresses. Two and a half hours of progressive house and techno - a couple of mixes could have done with a little more refinement but I feel that it builds really well and that there is some really inspired looping and long transitions too. Number 32 in the series is @nsaofficial, Justin and Steve, friends since high school who have forged a great reputation as both dj's and promoters, hosting their NSA parties in Edinburgh with amazing guests over the years. 1) Introduce yourself? 

Scottish DJ’s & Promoters No Strings Attached aka Steve Cass & Justin Wilson.

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

We had a great 2016 settling back into Edinburgh’s underground scene. All the parties we put on have been fantastic for many different reasons but it was a pleasure to have Optimo play for us for the first time.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

We had a longer break than expected this Winter so we will be picking up our bi-monthly NSA presents again in Edinburgh’s Mash House kicking of with A Love From Outer Space on March 10th which has already sold out.

In May we celebrate 22 years of our club night which has lasted a lot longer than either of us anticipated and we have put together a very special line up to mark the occasion with Andrew Weatherall & Ivan Smagghe back to back all night long.

We will also be playing at this years Alfresco Festival in Tunbridge wells with a whole host of great acts, starting our irregular club at Sneaky Pete’s which is a really cool small space which we hope will have a similar intensity to the early parties we put on. We will be doing something for the Edinburgh Festival and then bringing up a few new acts to NSA before the year is out.

First new mix in 5 months but as always I hope that it's worth the wait.  We start off with some lovely dark progressive house and then about a quarter of the way in things get a bit more loose limbed and dirty, as we head into some filthy tech grooves - we then move towards the realms of machine funk, before going head long into some full on techno.  Finally, the progressive house returns as we reach what is easily the most epic finish I've ever put to a mix - as always, I very much appreciate you taking the time to listen, and very much hope you enjoy. From spinning early breakbeat/rave tracks in Edinburgh’s institute of dance music ‘The Venue’ (RIP) in September of 1990,on to residency’s at Edinburgh's seminal tech trance club night 'Sublime',The Venue,Beatroot@Ego, Pivo Cafe and Low Gravity@The Liquidrooms, Kev's unique fusion of deep & driving tech-styles has led him to become one of the respected figures within the Scottish clubscene. 
Since 1993, his radio shows & guest mixes on Forth 1, Kiss FM, Beat 106,Fresh Air,BBC Radio Scotland, Clyde 1 & Dex FM (Sydney) have given him the opportunity to push his sound to an even wider audience.Having played over 30 guest mixes on East/Central Scotlands premier station Forth 1 between 1993-95,he eventually moved on to present his own Saturday night show on Forth in 2002 and is currently in residence on Beat 106 Scotland.
He has released under his KPAXX guise & Kev Wright since 1999 ,with vinyl releases on Well Wicked, Addictive records & Plastic Fantastic,moving into the digital age & the realms of Beatport with remixes and releases on Plusquam,Black Hole, Avanti, Plastic Music,Adjust Recordings, Audiablo Records,Fixate,Beat Therapy & Quanza from 2007 through to present day.
