Kimmy B is an extremely versatile artist. Growing up in the 90s when our favorite stations would play an array of sounds and genres, Kimmy grew up with a love for a wide variety of music. 
Her biggest influence was the voice and creativity of Mariah Carey. 
Kimmy had a hard childhood and teen life going through foster homes, juvy and living on the streets and she found faith in the vulnerable B side of Mariah that she cherished and exercised. 
Kimmys songwriting and poetry was a way of expression and often she would write songs hearing Mariah sing them. Her poetry was recognized in every school she was in from a very young age. 
 Kimmy always had big dreams often deemed unrealistic by those around her. This became a fuel for her take off!
She beat the odds and graduated college in Toronto (as a new single mom) for Studio Engineering at Recording Arts Canada. 
She then started interning at the house of talent, PHS Studio and learned alongside Canadian greats like Choclair and G-Vine.
 Kimmy was making beats that the best of them were inspired by. And this was the start of seeing her writing come to life and finding her voice. Kimmy has a story from childhood which forshadowed this entrance.. 
At the age of 8 Kimmy was in an after school program called "Thats Entertainment".  The kids and leader would write songs and perform them around Toronto including local news station CP24. 
The first solo Kimmy B ever performed in the group was a rap solo. 
The rapper for the song was not present the day they were performing and at the rap part the mic somehow just ended up in 8 year old Kimmys hand and she delivered! 
Funny enough, Kimmy never seen herself as a rap artist or aspired to be one although she wrote bars for days it was just a form of expression for her. But soon enough Kimmy would take the advice of her new peers and jump on the mic again. 
It was a great surprise how comfortable and strong Kimmy B was in her raps and she quickly started to excell! It seemed like this was foretold to her long ago when that mic ended up in her hand to rap!
Expressing her faith and determination. Her love and her pain. Envisioning herself beating the odds of being a single parent of 3, Kimmy put it all into the music.
Kimmy Bs first professional single I Made It (an inspiration pop/hip hop track) was aired on Christian FM radio in Ontario Canada and it landed her a top 10, top 50 year end countdown success. 
Her second single Catching Feeling (a Pop/R&B record definitely caught some feels being streamed on over 300 internet radio stations and some FM stations worldwide. 
Kimmy has showed her versatility being able to release mainstream records worthy of top 40 as well as underground hits like her Christian rap song Power which generated over 60,000 streams on Spotify!
Kimmy B is sure to release more hits as she now works with talented and experienced producers including Joel JJ Joseph, Ared Arzumanian and Jeff McCulloch who engineers most of her recordings. 
Kimmy B is a growing potential and a rising talent.
