Edd makes his Hottrax debut this May with the popping EP ‘The UG’. 

Having served up mixes for Sarah Story’s Future Dance Show on BBC Radio 1 and Eats Everything’s Edible radio show, Edd’s head-bopping beats have seen the Maltese DJ and producer make a splash on Three Zero Six and Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint. Now, the District Malta resident is welcomed with open arms by Jamie Jones’ Hottrax label for his two-track EP ‘The UG’.

Groovy lead track ‘The UG’ blends soulful vocals, electronic bleeps and driving low-ends, before ‘Reeecovery’ unpacks a deeper journey consisting of dreamy pads, jazzy keys and warm basslines.

Edd ‘The UG’ drops via Hottrax on 27th May 2022.

We welcome two new members to the Saved family this month in the form of Argentinian DJ and producer, Jay De Lys and Scottish DJ and producer, Jamie Roy, who present their ‘Savorlatino’ EP. Between them the pair have released on respected labels; Toolroom, Kaluki, Repopulate Mars and Lost Records and have gathered the respect of DJ’s far and wide, most notably, Solardo, Lee Foss, Leftwing : Kody and Marco Carola as well as playing at shows across the globe. Their debut EP kicks off with title track, ‘Savorlatino’ which combines a deep bass groove with soulful chords, delicate vocals and playful drums. ‘Loveland’ completes the EP, enticing listeners with its complex percussive rhythms, rise and fall bass line, expertly manipulated chopped vocal samples and intricate synth patterns.
