Here are some of my piano cover versions of many songs of all sorts. For me it is basically a piano practice sessions, but some of them came out quite nicely, so why not to share?

Introduction in English:

A good thirty years ago I had a partner who had strict Catholic parents. She had four brothers who married in the strict Catholic spirit during the time we were together. 
I loved the free, unbridled, wild dancing at that time. But at those weddings, any passion was contained in a rigid religious call-and-dance ceremonial.   
My "salvation" was Bosza, a Croatian woman overflowing with warmth, cordiality and impetuous liveliness. She was the wife of my then partner's uncle, who himself had fled to Berlin decades ago from the all-suppressing Catholic morality.
And with Bosza I danced half the night away at the weddings. Most people hated us for it. But we were passionate soul mates.
After I separated from my former partner, I lost sight of Bosza for the last ten years. 
Until I received a year ago over a brother of my ex-partner by WhatsApp the message that Bosza had died with not even seventy years. 
When I received this news, I had to cry spontaneously. And out of this sadness, but also out of gratitude for the great living time together at the otherwise dead weddings, this tribute to this wonderful woman was created. A woman who burned from both ends of the candle, and like most who do, do not grow very old.

This is a piece from soundtrack of a game called Azurik. I've never played it, but the music by Jeremy Soule somehow found its way into my ears. Especially this track with a piano and a little bit of strings! I've recreated it as a tribute, and I really like playing this piano...

Lovely tune from classic animated movie, one of those cute and full of innocent emotions. What a nice start of the film! I love doing piano covers of such a great tracks! Also, I'm not really sure if this one is by Gregson-Williams or by John Powel. If you know better, please let me know in the comments...

This melody is so innocent. It is truly a genius of Silvestri's music how well does it match the character of Forrest Gump. It was always one of my favorites! It was a wonderful experience to figure out how to put it into the solo piano type of track...

Here's my take on this Yanni's masterpiece. I've changed the original arrange in some sections to differ slightly, improvisations during the recording sessions are always full of surprises. I've added some subtle strings as an essence of Yanni's original version, no intention to copy it anyway. It wouldn't be an appropriate approach to this project, I think. It is strangely satisfying to dive into a genius mind to discover what is moving the gears inside. Yanni as a composer seems to be simple and minimalistic, but there are some quite complex twists in his compositions...

A smaller bonus track, nothing too big, but very much fun playing it! I was wondering if to upload it or not, but hey, internet can take anything, right? Besides, Two Steps From Hell is THE BEST thing that happened to music in this century so far, so why not to pay this little tribute to those guys! And to Mark Fowler, who wrote this cover (with few changes of mine)...
