John Pratt, known by his stage name J-Anthony, is an American rapper who was born in North Hollywood and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Anthony put out his debut mixtape by the name of “Twenty-Three” in 2015 to honor his brother/cousin who past away in 2014. Growing up, Anthony played football to get out of the inner city to stay safe and out of trouble. He also played basketball and baseball frequently from the age of 5 to the age of 16. Upon graduating high school, Anthony enrolled into Citrus College, a two-year junior college in California, majoring in Sociology. Later on he moved to Illinois and enrolled into Rockford University where he would earn a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Artists such as 2pac, Eminem, Nas, Ice Cube, J. Cole, and Dom Kennedy influence Anthony’s passion for music. Anthony’s goal is to leave his mark as one of the most motivational and influential artist of his generation.
