Born in Mauritius and living in Toronto. Melanie has an intimate relationship with words. Started public poetry performance at 8 years old and wrote her own poetry soon after and got published in the local newspaper. She started writing songs at the age of 12. At 17, she was a slam performer and got published in Slammers 1 &2. And began doing gigs with fellow slammers and musicians. She founded the Rock band L8comers with Andy Kamanah and together with Gary Bhujun, Aldo Gangaram, Jonathan Payen, they won the 2nd edition of Reve de Stars live performance. L8comers welcome Eshan Hamja in the team and their first and only album " Right on Time" sponsored by IBL and produced by Richard Hein features pop rock, alternative rock, organic rock and sega rock and songs in English, French and Creole. Today Melanie sings folk pop rock and still writes her own songs and hopes to collaborate with talented artists from Canada but also from different places in the world.
