letting chaos run the show after giving it a little structure...

the main source of harmonic movement here is iteration/sequencing over chords based at G#m.  the soft sections are random selections of such and the hard sections are faster iterations over i->VI in order.

i worked a little on giving nice dynamic breaks at transition between sections (first attempt at such, both sections and working on transitions, gasp)

there's a music box (pair) running randomly over elements of the G#m key throughout.

and on top of all the aforementioned structure we're getting some random off-key behavior to help provide some tension.

beat behavior is pretty straightforward.  there's bamboo beat action going on plus a high-hat type element.  the bamboo action is glitched (as well as some parts of the music box) and the high hat type is randomly perturbed to drop out or mis-hit for rhythmic color.

Time flies by and reality hits hard as we watch the sunset, realising that summer will be over soon and autumn is fast upon us. Lay down on »DWIG« aka. »Die Wiese Im Garten« for a good cup of tea and some »Big Tales«.

»Orange Evening« (A1) shuffles a warm groove as you watch the first leaves dance in the wind, from the rocking chair on your grandpa’s porch – just the right spot for some »Big Tales« (A2) that paint a picture of times you never saw, but still remember. Thankfully, nobody judges us around here, so put on your »Dirty Dress« (B1) once again as the tempo turns up a notch.

After the success of her first self-released EP “The Suspended Kid”, Sevdaliza releases her second batch of enigmatic songs on “Children of Silk”. The songstress/producer draws her influences from several textures like skin and glass. Sevdaliza’s melancholic visceral voice floats over beds of mechanical instrumentation, creating dynamics of chaos and order. To commemorate Tony Allen's passing last Thursday and celebrate his infectious drums sound, we share today the official solo track of his drums take on @sebastien-tellier cult song "La Ritournelle". 

Tony Allen was a maestro. His torso wouldn’t move when he played the drums. He never hit hard, his speciality was extreme subtlety. He played the drums on "La Ritournelle" in one take, then he had to pick up his kid at school!
