This edition of BRCast features an exclusive mix by Ubair .

This is a special BRC Mix because this mix comprises of tracks released by either an Indian artist or tracks released by anyone but on an Indian label only. I have been keen to support artists and labels through various measures and initiatives and this one I am particularly proud of.

Ubair is a homegrown DJ from Lahore, Pakistan and his explorations into electronic music started back in 2017 which subsequently led him into mixing 4 years back. Spending countless hours refining his skills, he has honed his craft with an unwavering dedication that's evident in every mix he curates.

With an eclectic taste that spans different genres, Ubair possesses an innate ability to curate seamless sets that transport listeners to new dimensions. From organic grooves to deep pulsating progressive tunes, his selections reflect a deep understanding of the nuances that make each track unique.

While Ubair may not has appeared at the stage at events just yet but with his determination and passion, he aims to be behind the decks in the near future. Ubair believes that music is therapeutic for one's mind and soul. Through music he aims to spread a message of peace, love and harmony.

BRCast #106 - Ubair

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Khankra’s passion for electronic music started at a young age and has continued to evolve with time. Khankra’s roots have always been entwined in hypnotic grooves, rolling basslines and driving melodies.

At 17 he purchased his first set of 1210’s and from there he began forging name for himself in the Dublin scene, playing at nights across some of the city’s best clubs like The Redbox, The Pod, the Button Factory, Traffic, Mono, The Chocolate Bar.

After somewhat of a hiatus from the scene, in 2014 Khankra had the opportunity to warm up for industry icon, and person hero, Sasha at The Button Factory.

Following this, Khankra teamed up with the Melodic Residents and handed the headphones over to some other industry legends during this time, including Nick Warren, Guy J, Sebastien Leger, Los Soruba, and The Drifter on a number of memorable occasions.

In late 2019, Khankra teamed up with DJ’s Glenn Molloy, Soulfinder and Ger Bozyk to form Fusion Underground. Since then the group have started the Fusion Underground Mix series, which has had some excellent support across the industry and continues to grow.

Khankra has a number of Production projects in play, adding to his releases already on Compatible Records. We should also expect to see Khankra and some top acts playing at Fusion Underground gigs in the near future!
