Baptism does not equal salvation; it is a symbol that you are a believer. Baptism goes hand in hand with repentance and shows that you identify with the burial, death and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is not there to remove the filth of the flesh, but, for us to be baptised into an excellent way of life.

The gospel in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John is about Jesus living amongst us. The gospel In Romans is about Jesus living in You. Here, redemption opens another chapter in our lives; a plan for a better life in Jesus Christ.

The sin problem is a struggle for every believer. As believers we have the duty to not allow sin to reign over us, nor allow it to come near us. Committing to practical steps can help us to win against sin; Take your sin seriously, strongly purpose and promise God not to sin, watch carefully for your own spiritual weakness, resist the first rising of the flesh and its pleasures, mediate on God’s word, repent immediately, continue in prayer and dependence on God’s power and establish relationship with other believers who will hold you accountable.

How To Win Against Sin

As a believer, you must know that your sins have been forgiven. The wages of sin is death, but Christ paid this price for us by dying on the Cross for us. Forgiveness of sins is God’s free gift to us. When you are in Christ, you can boast that you have been forgiven of your sins, and you are reconciled to Christ.

Your Sins Are Forgiven

We all have a Christian birth and there are parts to the birthing process. To be fully birthed spiritually we must; repent, believe (in Jesus Christ), be baptised, and, receive (the Holy Spirit). When one part of the process is missing, this means our Christian birth is incomplete.

The Christ rejecting generation is an evil generation. The death of Christ saves us from eternal damnation and His life saves us from a wicked generation. If you want a brand new world, you need people with a renewed heart. Jesus is the only one who can change our hearts from the inside out.

Save Us From This Generation, O Lord

If you think a little bit about life, you will invariably ask what life is about. When you face the realities of life, you will ask what you must do to be saved. There is only one way to be saved; through faith in Christ. The starting point is calling on the name of the Lord Jesus because there is no other name through which you can be saved.

What Must I Do To Be Saved

Anytime sin comes into play, the wrath of God must be displayed. The holiness of God requires that he must have wrath against. You can never be a Christian without being justified because of the issue of sin. In order to be redeemed a payment must be made; the payment for our sins is the blood of Christ. The real blessing of Christianity is that one's sin has been forgiven; God does not have a problem with you because of Christ.

Why Stay In Your Sins

Salvation is a gift to the sinner, not a reward to the righteous. Salvation is a gift of life; it’s not a reward of accreditation or recognition. Through salvation, we have forgiveness of sins, are justified, redeemed and are lifted up in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. God showed us mercy and put His love on display by saving us and giving us life through Christ.

Salvation Is A Gift, Not A Reward

Sin is not innocent and fleshly lust are not innocent temptations. They are like an organised war or military campaign against your soul. Sin has the desire to master you; you must fight to overcome it. You can’t maintain your usefulness to God when sin is dominating in your life.
