PREMIERE: High Ride - Fire (Organik Fanatik Remix)

After a brief hiatus, Tympanum Records is back with the debut of its “This Is Tympanum'' series, a showcase of the wide array of timbres and sonic chemistry that comprises the Orange County label. Josh Sturges begins the release with a stripped, calm, and simply cool groover, a foundational club filler from the label boss. Following up is a return from label regular Secus, with a brooding, and stealthy, yet fast, and razor-sharp Techno rhythm. We continue with a newcomer to the label, David James Drume, who delivers with cut-throat, slamming tribal madness, a hearkening to the Birmingham greats. Next is the return of EAS, under alias FM2031, with a classic sounding, robotic Electro heater. Finally, we introduce SOLëM to the imprint with an astounding, left-field, darker than night piece, sweeping, fast, and thought-provoking. This return from Tympanum Records introduces new voices, new sounds, visits old friends, while simultaneously staying true to form, and delivering fresh hammers for the dance floor culture. Premiere: Secus - Reaktom (Tympanum)

To celebrate the 20th release on Khazad Records and the first of 2024, label chief Balrog presents his long anticipated album, The Industrial Groove Association.

After nearly three years in the making this album, released on digital and vinyl sampler, represents the true essence of the unique Industrial Groove sound that Balrog has been looking to develop since his emergence on to the techno scene.

Taking inspiration from a broad spectrum of musical genres and culture, over the course of the album Balrog explores the use of captivating vocal stabs and phrases, carefully crafted atmospheric synths and rolling bass lines. All these elements are consistently bound together with the heavy and unrelenting drums and percussion that Balrog has become synonymous with.

Also available on vinyl sampler which features 6 tracks from the LP, pressed on 12" vinyl with full colour sleeve.

Balrog - Faking The Funk [KHA020]

When we speak about techno music, Lidvall is one of the top names in the game. Based in Tbilisi, he delivered a 5 track EP, with Remixes
from Linear Phase and STNDRD.

Bilbao is the name of the intro. A subtle pad sorrounding the main loop build up tension and a misterious vibe for the adventure to come.

Crossroads as a very hypnotic pattern, that marches forward while the track develops. Pads, hats, filters are used in a unique manner.

Overdosed is based on the rhythmical section mostly. It has a tribal vibe and a mesmerizing tone. No doubt why this track is also the title for the EP.

Beez Attack has the most powerful low end section. A haymaker straight to the brain, it literally sounds like rushing away while being attacked by a swarm of bees.

Static has a very electronic and futuristic atmosphere. Is full of energy and restless. Proper mayhem for late hour sets.

Linear Phase's version of Overdosed is elegantly brighter than the original, also based in groove. A neat and classy work by the Spanish maestro.

The Remix by STNDRD for Beez Attack is pure gold. The way he uses hats and percussion is just perfect. A voyage on it's own, is the perfect track to close this wonrderful EP.

Por eso, hemos escogido la serie Extra de Techsound Records, la cual desde su origen se ha dedicado a publicar techno en su sentido más amplio, pero siempre fiel al su estilo.

Este release pretende exaltar y reivindicar dicho sonido en días post pandémicos donde la distorsión del género prima. Y siendo claro que dicha ciudad se ha posicionado en el circuito mundial de fiestas, queremos ahora destacar también los artistas que ayudan a crear una identidad musical para la ciudad y el país.

We are very happy to present the second volume of -El Sonido de Bogotá- an album by several artists with a common root, the city of Bogotá. And how can we not honor the city with the most active electronic music circuit in not only Latin America but in all of America? For this reason, we have chosen the Extra series from Techsound Records, which since its origin has been dedicated to publishing techno in its broadest sense, but always faithful to its style.

This release aims to exalt and vindicate such sound in post-pandemic days where gender distortion prevails. And being clear that this city has positioned itself on the world party circuit, we now also want to highlight the artists who help create a musical identity for the city and the country.

Khazad Records is the brainchild of label chief Balrog. 

The concept of the label was born out of a desire to release hard, industrial, and grooving techno, while also providing a platform for the best young producers to showcase their talent. In doing so, this will hopefully enable the further development of this style of industrial enthused grooving techno.

Khazad Records is a wholly inclusive collective. For this reason, every attempt will be made to ensure an even as possible gender balance of artists. In doing so we hope to address the gender imbalances that are still ever-present within the techno scene. 

As well as showcase the hottest talent in the scene right now, the label will also hope to unearth the future stars of the scene through a fully open demo policy:

- All demos will be listened too but must be sent to our email, this may mean that it takes some time for us to respond but rest assured we will get back to you and make every attempt to offer constructive advice if the demo does not suit the label.
- Tracks DO NOT need to be mastered before sending, we are looking for raw talent not the final product.
