Tom Morrison (b. 1992) is a composer. His music has been performed in Germany, Thailand, China, Australia, Canada, and across the United States. Morrison is a graduate of the University of Montana (BM) and The Juilliard School (MM), where he studied with Christopher Rouse. He has studied at Freie Universität Berlin and has held residence at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute. Among other awards, Morrison was the winner of the 2016 Thailand International Composition Festival Competition judged by Mark Adamo, Aaron Jay Kernis, and John Corigliano. He has written for and worked with an array of groups, including the Aizuri Quartet, Sō Percussion, and the String Orchestra of the Rockies, among others. He currently lives in Princeton, New Jersey and is a Naumberg Ph.D. Fellow at Princeton University.

Seth Andrew Davis (b. 1994) is a performer, composer, improvisor, & electronic musician from the Kansas City area. Davis is involved in many different genres including, jazz, rock, classical, electronic, electro-acoustic, and free improvisation. Davis graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance in Kansas City, Mo. in 2019 with a BM in Music Composition. Davis has studied with Jim Mobberley, Paul Rudy, Zhou Long, Chen Yi, Mara Gibson and Michael Miller.

Davis’s music has been performed in the United States, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Davis has had his work performed at various conferences and festivals including the New York City Electro-Acoustic Music Festival, Kansas City Performing Media Festival, NASA Regional IV Conference, Electronic Music Midwest, Exchange of Midwest Collegiate Composers, the International Navy Saxophone Symposium and has had pieces premiered by Mnemosyne Quartet, Project C4, Dionysus, Second Nature Ensemble. Chi Him Chik, Sputter Box, & loadbang. 

As an artist, Davis works closely with performers and collaborators to create pieces, installations, and works that are unique to that partnership. Davis is an avid collaborator, having worked with choreographers, video artists, animators, playwrights etc. Davis’s artistic influences run the gamut from popular music, free-jazz, hip-hop, electronic music, film, literature, visual art, contemporary culture and from this Davis wishes to blur the lines between genres, composer and performer, and various artistic mediums. Davis has released his electronic music under the pseudonyms The Gods Hate Kansas, Mr Sandman, and Ghost In The Machine. Davis is also a founding member of Second Nature, a free jazz/new music/math-rock ensemble, BetaMax, Re-Animator, and is a guitarist in the new music ensemble Project C4. Davis is also an active concert organizer in the Kansas City music scene as the Vice President of KcEMA (Kansas City Electronic Music Alliance) and as the Production Coordinator of newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble. In 2020, Davis co-founded Mother Brain Records with saxophonist & composer Michael Eaton. Mother Brain Records is a Midwest based label focused on releasing the works of artists in the experimental & improvised music scenes.

Sus estudios musicales comenzaron en 2004 en la Escuela Superior de Música situada en San Salvador de Jujuy.  En 2012, se trasladó a la Ciudad de Córdoba, para cursar la Licenciatura y el Profesorado en Composición Musical en la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Desde 2007, asistió a cursos de formación coral e integró el Coro Kamay de Jujuy, Espectra Ensamble y el Coro del Seminario del Teatro del Libertador San Martín. Participó como cantante y recitante en obras de teatro musical y ópera contemporánea.

Como compositora, asistió a cursos y residencias como Forum Nueva Música, Tacec Nueva Generación, Sinapsis Nueva Música, Atlanticx Composition Course Latin America, Germina.Acciones México, Workshop Antiqua Nova. Trabajó en colaboración con Cuarteto de Cuerdas UnTreF, Ensamble Tropi, Juliana Moreno, Juliana Sivila, Lucas Ounissi, Trío Siqueiros, Quartetto Maurice, Ensamble DosUno, entre otrxs.

Sus obras fueron presentadas en Argentina, Brasil, Ecuador, México, EE.UU., Países Bajos, Alemania y en encuentros como Resonar (Ed. formato virtual 2021), Encuentro Virtual de Compositoras (2021), In/Out Festival (2020) y otros.

En 2018 obtuvo una mención en la 5ta Edición del Concurso Nacional de Literatura organizado por Fundación Pro Arte Córdoba. En 2019 obtuvo la Beca Formación del Fondo Nacional de las Artes para capacitarse con el compositor Marcos Franciosi. Desde ese mismo año, es integrante de Lontano, colectivo de creación musical. En 2020, en el transcurso de la pandemia por COVID-19, comenzó Satélite Charlas Compositivas, un ciclo de entrevistas a compositorxs que producen en Argentina.

Through his works, he grapples with many uncompromising challenges in 21st century life, from childhood trauma and recovery, neurodivergence, and social isolation, to our critically overburdened abilities to focus. Each piece, therefore, is an invitation for composer, performer, and audience to find each other, to make community, and—amid our struggles—to feel and think deeply together.

Evan’s music has been performed in the United States, Germany, The Netherlands, New Zealand, and in Canada, as well as on CBC Radio 2, Michigan Radio, and WCMU. He has been privileged to work with pianist Nadia Shpachenko, singer Amy Petrongelli, the ÆPEX Sinfonietta, Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montéal, the Arraymusic Ensemble, the University of Michigan Javanese Gamelan Ensemble, the Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet, and the symphonic wind ensembles of Central Michigan University and Cal Poly Pomona. Evan’s music has been supported by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition, the Canada Council for the Arts, and the City of Ottawa, among others. Evan also maintains an active career as a scholar of popular and multimedia music. He is Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition at Cal Poly Pomona.
