It's now almost two years since German producer Sawlin made his debut on Ann Aimee, but now he is back for a third EP on the Delsin sister label.  Entitled 'Niedertracht', it features four more tracks of searing techno in truly uncompromising Sawlin style. 

'Kontraktion' goes first with heavy metallic hits, lots of industrial machinery found sounds and thumping kick drums. It's lumpy, mechanical and stiff stuff that is slow and purposeful. The surface of 'Padjam' is then covered in squirming, scratchy little effects as syncopated drums swing deep down below. Eventually the thing gets fleshed out with some malfunctioning melodies and slurred vocal stabs yet still it sounds like no other techno out there.  

'Niedertracht' takes up the b1 with a spangled techno track that has gurgling synths and fizzing drills all encased in a ravey arrangement of horns and windy howls.  The broken sounding 'Weißhaupt' is made up of metal loops, punctured drums and rasping synths that sound like factories in melt down. This is truly inventive electronic music that’s laced with a very real and unmistakable sense of industrialism, and proves Sawlin is one of the day's most exciting producers.

Planet Rhythm follows up on its centennial release with the 101st effort on the long running imprint. For this 12'' the label has acquired quite a PRRUK all star line up. With milan-based Emmanuel kicking off the a-side with an analog stomper, this is already a release to add to your collection. Dutch techno stalwarts Abstract Division add an acid chugger to the A side. The B side excists out of a piece of drum machine terror by VSK and a fruitful collaboration between Serbia based Scalameriya and Re:Axis.

‘Trust, Intimacy’ fuses her top tier production skills with her own vocals for a unique and introspective four tracker. ‘Nachalo’ is the perfect intro track while the title track and ‘Transformed’ are destined for peak time madness. The EP closes with the most emotional moment of the EP, Acceptance…an ideal closing track that could just as easily lead the entire single.

The second edition of the Magnum Opus Series on Khemia Records features a new production from Berlin based modular powerhouse Blush Response alongside an electrifying collaboration between Years Of Denial, who have previously released on Oliver Ho’s Death and Leisure label and Russian techno auteur Alexey Volkov (Jealous God).

On the Solar side Blush Response delivers ‘You Will Cry Out In Grief’ a maelstrom of industrial electronics seethes under a furious barrage of complex rhythms, as evolving symmetries disperse into incandescence.

On the Lunar side Years of Denial meet Alexey Volkov in the first of a new collaborative series - ‘Confess’. Barkosina Hanusova’s voice ricochets against caustic snares as she intones a fetishistic ritual of contorted flesh and altered states.

Together they form the Albedo Edition.
