Born into a household of theatre actors and musicians, Joseph Fortin is well at home with a guitar on his lap and a pen in his hand and after fronting a rock group for several years, Jos. began to find his songbook cracking at the spine with songs that didn't seem to suit his musical outfit at the time. Rather than letting these songs fade and sit on the shelf, Jos. opted to focus in on what seemed to be the oddities of his writing and enlisted Toronto engineer/producer James Bunton (Ohbijou, Evening Hymns) in early 2010 to start work on Typewriter.

Since releasing Typewriter, Jos. has garnered attention with his live performance, sharing the stage with acts such as Bry Webb, John K. Samson and Whitehorse. In 2012 Jos. won the Emerging Artist Award at the Peterborough Folk Festival. Working again with James Bunton, another album is currently in the works for release this year.

Dr. prOphecy sun is an interdisciplinary performance artist, queer, movement, video and sound maker and mother. Informed by her creative studies in vocal and movement improvisation, her practice celebrates both conscious and unconscious moments and the vulnerable spaces of the in-between in which art, performance, and life overlap. Her recent research has focused on ecofeminist perspectives, co-composing with objects and matter, extraction and surveillance technologies, and site-specific engagements along the Columbia Basin region and beyond.
