Oh No! Yoko is a math-pop outfit based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The band is Everett Morris [Vocals/Guitar], Raphael Bedard de Vilca [Bass], Liam Hamilton [Drums] – and they’re fit to bursting with frenzied excitement and lashings of math pop genius that just won’t quit. 

Barely a year or two out of grade school, things have moved quickly since emerging from a CBC school battle of the bands competition in 2010, quickly becoming the best thing about Abbotsford, the lovingly monikered ‘murder capital of Canada’. Their reputation for eclectic, high-energy live shows rampantly spread through the local music community, and eventually to the Vancouver music scene, where they are now mainstays.

Sounding like something like a pumped-up Postal Service meets Tokyo Police Club crossed with a bit of Minus the Bear, ‘Mimi Ashi’ undulates like a sexy melodic beast, with hooks galore and a hand-clap infused riff that will ensure crowds across Europe can’t help but get into this intense musicality. Radio-wise it’s no surprise that they’ve filled the airwaves of Canada, and after well-respected UK indie label Big Scary Monsters revealed a track on their compilation ‘music is for pussies’, word has begun to spread further afield…. And Europe beckons
