Live recording from the first edition of "read the room" at Indiranagar Social (Bangalore) on 18 April 2025. For this event, we experimented with a "round robin" format where kaydi, Zequenx (@zen_zanan), and Oceantied (@oceantiedmusic) sequentially took over the decks for 30-minutes each and then repeated the cycle until closing bells 🌀 What emerged was a blend of genres and styles that would not have been possible with any other format! Unity Gathering 2024 - VARAZSLO LIVE (Part2)

“I Just Don’t Want to Give Up” is a live home-studio recording that traces the emotional and sonic tension between fragility and perseverance. Produced and performed by Khushboo Jain, the piece was built entirely within VCV Rack, where she designed a custom additive synthesis patch from the ground up — layering oscillators, modulation paths, and subtle feedback loops to create an evolving harmonic field. Each tone unfolds organically, shaping a meditative narrative of endurance and renewal. The track was first realized when Khushboo was invited to perform at the inaugural edition of Noizfest, marking a pivotal moment in her exploration of sound as both resistance and release. This release also marks Khushboo’s debut collaboration with Labyrinthine Crew — a record label founded by Oblium in 2009 and dedicated to promoting experimental music and abstract soundscapes. Known for its commitment to boundary-pushing artistry and sonic discovery, Labyrinthine Crew continues to serve as a home for musicians who dwell between the underground and the avant-garde.

I just don't want to give up

One of the steadily rising electro and house selectors of the country, New Delhi's Jaidev Kaushik aka Jay Drive found himself entrusted to warm the dancefloor up for the prominent modern-day techno act Helena Hauff at her New Delhi show – the mix from which he shares exclusively via Wild City.

With a nod to Hauf's prowess as a vinyl DJ and balancing dark textures with a sustained fun factor, Jay took to the Technics turntables with a strict adherence to the style of the artist he was warming up the floor for. Classic synthesised drum sounds lead the charge alongside equally tightened basslines to prioritise viscerality as the connecting thread, while any melodies or zany noises remain as peripheral details, keeping it light on the senses until elements of acid and tech begin to assert themselves more around the halfway mark with Joolmad's 'Cactus Lover'. Even with a consistent palette, the mix follows a tangible arc: one that builds the atmosphere in the first half and starts throwing colours within the established palette to leave us at a rolling peak.

I made this track trying to understand and utilize operator to it's full potential. All sounds are synthesized. 
The idea was to try and recreate my experiences with DMT using sound.
