Made a little edit of DÊTRE's Bare Bones during my practice sessions of learning Ableton. Every sound I added on top of the original has some sentimental tie to it (I'll chime in on the comments throughout the song to add my little "commentary" and Fun Facts)!

Huge thank you to @detrebeats for the insaaane sound design and producing skills! Also props to Daniel Hanson for first introducing me to this magical sound and laying the foundation for this edit! This all started thanks to Drew Binsky’s documentary on the Korowai people (also known as the Kolufo) of the Mamuna Tribe in southeastern Papua.

ABOUT THE RELEASE

Fill The Trees With Leaves is the third artist album by British electronic music producer Little Birds and it is an amazingly ambitious release. It almost seems like he challenged himself to show the world how much his sound has evolved over the years. The opening trio of songs (White Horses, Wriggle Pants and Feathered Friend) are in line with our expectations from his Black Acid series of EPs, but done with a twist. The atmosphere is a bit more relaxed and they include live instrumentation adding to the organic feel that will go on throughout the album. Things continue to unfurl with the lush and innocently beautiful Llyn Dulyn, Polit Elek and the title track which lead to the breaking point of the album - the brilliant Aphex-Twin-meets-Autechre influenced Jazzy Mums. Then, the big surprise hits us. The epic closing trilogy (High Rise, Harlech and Plateau) is the grandiose finale of Fill The Trees With Leaves. These three songs testify of a producer wandering out of his safe zone, growing as big as possible and arriving at an area reserved for the likes of Air and Groove Armada. Welcome to the big league, Little Birds!
