Wynona Bleach is a Alternative Rock/GazePop band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Formed in January 2018.
Founded in 2018 by Melyssa Shannon (Vocals), Jonny Woods (Guitar, Vocals), Aaron Black (Guitar) and Matt Killen (Drums). Carl Gilmore Joined on Bass in 2017 ahead of a 12 Date Russian Tour under their former name, After releasing their second Self Produced and Released EP “NO CHILL”. Prior to this they played BBC Introducing stages at Reading and Leeds festivals, supported Feeder, and performed on a televised anniversary of the BBC’s Introducing music show in Northern Ireland.

Wynona Bleach released their Debut Single “Eyes Burning” in January 2018, and in late 2018 released their debut EP "Sugar" on limited edition transparent green Vinyl.

Growing up in this world, I found my refuge in nature. Lost among trees, resting in the sounds of rivers and brooks, forgetting about everything except the beauty of life surrounding me.

Nature reflected back something deep within myself that I had lost touch with: the perennial joy that is the foundation of existence. 

I received the name Purl for the music that was flowing through me, as a tribute to the sounds of nature that had reminded me of the unimpeded flow; the essence of life. 

My intention with Purl is to let our true nature be felt and expressed through patterns of sound.
