BREAK DJ LEACY - B.BOY B.GIRL FUNK (1996)

'Can’t, Won’t, Don’t Stop' is more than just a mix - it’s a tribute to 25 years behind the decks.

From block party breaks to neck-snapping boom-bap, this hour-long session cuts deep into the DNA of funk, hip-hop, and sample-heavy soul. Expect a hard-hitting mix packed with golden-era grit, b-boy breaks and underground heat.

Every one of these 26 tracks tells a story. They've rocked sweaty basements, backrooms, festival tents and city dive bars with sticky dancefloors. They’ve provided the soundtrack to late-night drives through Devon’s country lanes and dusty-fingered digging excursions in Bristol and record shops further afield.

Consider this a snapshot. A rewind. A love letter to the culture that made me the DJ and record collector I am today.  At 46 years old, I still can’t stop, won’t stop - and don’t plan to anytime soon.

Audiophiles take note: there’s some hiss, some crackle - and a whole lot of soul. This mixtape was recorded live with minimal post-production. Some of these joints have lived in my battered milk crate for years, played out in countless sets before finally being digitised for this project.
