The Sleepers RecordZ is proud to introduce you to The Quantize Brothers, a newly-minted German modern disco/funk outfit. Their first offering is the party-ready future anthem "Life Time," a high-speed exercise in nimble bass riffs, plucky rhythm guitar, & resonant disco bleeps. The track's uplifting lyrics, sung by Hansekind, elevate it to the point where finding inspiration on the dance floor is all but guaranteed. Fans of Chic and their contemporaries will be pleased for certain.
On the flipside, their second offering "With You" heads in a slow and low direction, offering slinky analog bass & thick hand claps at a lowrider-friendly tempo. Shades of P-Funk All Stars, late 80's Roger Troutman, & 90's g-funk of all types serve as familiar points of reference for those who know the sound, while another sleek vocal from Hansekind adds a modern day stamp to a nostalgia-steeped vibe.
As always, we are bringing these tracks into physical form via a limited 7", pressed on colored vinyl and limited to only 150 copies.

We all know what its like to be on the receiving end of "Bad". The Point "Taking L's" is attempting to make is that "L's can be flipped into W's". It's a perspective thing. As a "Big Picture" seeker, I often Connect events in my life (and others) all together. Good is always at the expense of something or someone. I can see how an "L" taken a year ago has benefited me today. In the spirit of this Album, I would like to hear from ya'all briefly how you've flipped L's into Progress, and Growth.
