Illyus and Barrientos strip the track back to its foundations; keeping the essential elements in the pulsating kick drum and deep drum grooves; as well as the strong vocal performance from Damon C Scott.
The duo remoulds the bassline and transforms it into a refreshingly funky sub-line that sits underneath the track and bounces between the bouncing rhythms in the choppy piano stabs.

The pair create a versatile track that is easily envisioned to be blasting out on a sunset-soaked boat party on the coast of Ibiza or equally; hoofing out of a sound system in the basement of a packed-out Glaswegian club at 5 am.

Forgotten Vibe

An upbeat french / disco house track

So I was sat in a cafe (gecko coffeehouse, bethnal green, London) with my cousin. I went to catch up with her over a coffee and she worked on her coursework while I worked on my creative projects. Out of nowhere I put this track together (kindve took me by surprise because usually I spend weeks / months on projects, but this came together super quickly. 

It's named french gecko as it's french house and the cafe is called gecko coffee house. The cover is water colour (painted by me) trying to capture us at the cafe.
