Matthew Banks (“DJ Kid Tree” or “Kid Tree”) is one of the premiere Atlanta based multi-genre disc jockeys (“DJ”) in the game today.  As a 25+ year veteran in the entertainment/music business, and making his mark as one of the most amazing Old School R&B | Hip-Hop DJ’s, Kid Tree has the character, diversity, and unique ability to cater his style and selection of music, based on “eye contact” and observance of crowd demographics.  In short, he is a Game Changer, with the skillfulness and foresight to adapt his music to the desires of his audience, to really keep the house rocking all day/night long.

	Born in Manhattan (Harlem), New York, and raised in Kinston, North Carolina, Banks has shared his God-given passion and love for music at a very early age.  While growing up in North Carolina, Banks has provided music at numerous family reunions, church functions, and other community gatherings, keeping his crowd rocking to the sounds of Joe Tex, Kurtis Blow, and other artists of that area.  He chose the name “DJ Kid Tree” in of his teacher and mentor, “Disco Tree”, well recognized in as one of the Best DJ’s in the state of North Carolina during the 1970s.

	In 2005, after years of honing his craft and making waves throughout the Carolinas, seeking greater challenges and growth opportunities, Banks packed his talents, and decided to head south and relocate to Atlanta, Georgia.  From 2005 to 2009, he partnered up with 3G Entertainment, where he provided music, and produced numerous tracks for independent artists and television productions.  In 2009, he joined Go Ye DJs, an Atlanta Based DJ and Sound Services organization, where he quickly became the most requested DJ for numerous private events and corporate clients, including, but not limited to the Atlanta Hawks, Publix, Macy’s, the City of Riverdale, and Hosea Feed the Hungry.  

Additionally, he has provided DJ services for various local radio stations in Atlanta, including Kiss 104.1 FM and Majic 107.5/97.5, and has performed at a number of high profile concerts, festivals, and events, and served as the opening and intermission act for prominent award winning artists and musicians, including Bobby Brown, Mikki Howard, Zapp, Angela Winbush, Angie Stone, Joey Sommerville, Keith Sweat, Lenny Williams, Outkast, Cherelle, Klymaxx, Steve Harvey and more.
