"Bangonthedrum EP is a journey into my influences of being a drum player growing up. The drums is what I first played when I was learning to play music, even to this day I still find myself going back to basics and keeping rhythm as the focus. This short EP takes two massive songs that show what I do in dance music with the concepts of rhythm.

The first lead track "Bangonthedrum" is a project I made more in recent time late last year in 2023. It incorporates the sleek and cool sounds of minimal tech stabs while competing for attention against the high energy of break samples. You even hear bits of a George Marsh interview in which he talks about his upbringing with playing the drums. 

The second track "Lake Effect" is a reflection of the waters of Lake Michigan. Trying to make personal music without giving recognition to the beauty of the great lakes region is impossible to me. But just like the lake itself, its unpredictable but mostly mellow layered with interjecting breaks samples over a 4x4 groove that tends to skip over itself at times."
