This is a new version of a remix I did way back in 1998 or 99... The original version of this was done on ACID Pro and took me ages to get right (and still sounds hideous to my ears) compared to this version that I did from scratch in Ableton and took me a couple of hours. I've replaced the drum track with something that I've liberally borrowed (i.e. stolen completely) to make this something more in line with what I play these days as the original remix was meant to be a house remix.

I shared the original with other DJ's back in 1999 and It was leaked to the internet without my knowledge or my name attached (which may have been a blessing really). It is still strange to hear the original remix being played in weird places like at the Olympic games or in videos on Youtube especially when I know that it came from my crappy pc in the loungeroom of my old flat that could barely cope with running ACID Pro....ah well...enjoy.

The most chaotic set of my life 😂 I was DJing on the Jubel truck at Forwards Festival and I had 30 minutes between the main stage acts to get everyone's attention and squeeze everything I wanted into the mix. And yes I used Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA to catfish the crowd and then flipped it into some Amapiano... arrest me 🤷🏼‍♀️
