Kicking off 2025, Moan delivers a standout collaboration between Greek heavyweight Detlef and rising talent JhoJoho. The Good Hood EP fuses groove-heavy house with deep, rolling minimal, perfect for peak-time and after-hours sets. House don Markus Homm drops a three tracker on Sublease, following up from his 2023 appearance on Steve Bug’s label for the deeper side of house.  

Homm adds to his considerable back catalogue with Hey You, showcasing his deep skills for creating atmospheric house music.  

The title track is a deep roller full of signature elements, grooving drum programming, cut up, soulful vocals, atmospheric pads and a thick, present bass.   

Rhythmic Journey is up next, lifting the energy to more insistent pace, but keeping things to minimum to allow the track to create its own space.   

Six closes out this release - a fully dubbed out take on house which allows the sub bass to dominate on top of an irresistible groove.

The GRAMMY-nominated Nic Fanciulli unites with vocalist and songwriter Marc E. Bassy for ‘Hold On’ on Defected. Since previous label hits ‘I Want You’ with Butch and ‘Vente’ with Callussa, Nic Fanciulli has continued to nurture his Saved imprint, releasing ‘Set Me Free’ with Robert Courtois, a future club classic and five-week Beatport No.1 still receiving consistent club play nearly a year later. Continuing to build his relationship with Defected, 2025 will see Fanciulli play the label’s Pacha Ibiza residency and both flagship festivals in Croatia and Malta. For his anticipated Defected return, ‘Hold On’, Fanciulli collaborates with celebrated crossover artist Marc E. Bassy.
