My favourite part about the present is the growth from your past
It's realizing that life goes on and it's fast
I remember being down,
And defeated to the ground,
I wanted to get up
But I was thinking like the water is half empty in my cup.
I fought and I fought
On my knees
Begging please,
I kept asking why me?
And then I found out,
C'est la vie.
This is life can't you see?
The birds and the trees
The good and the bad
The happy and the sad
With tears in my eyes,
I thought I couldn't survive
Then I got up and said

What beauty there is,
Feeling nothing but bliss,
Knowing that the sun will rise again, and give me a kiss.
The darkness has passed,
It may come again alas,
This time I say hello, and acknowledge their existence.
I can see the light coming through in the distance
It left a while but never forever
I know in my heart that this will help me get better
Never will I ever say never
I know that I can create my own weather
Surrounded by shades but I choose to shine brighter than ever
