Sometimes I wonder if there is some kind of ‘safe place’ in this world. Everywhere I look: Wars, climate disasters, starvation and poverty. Not to mention the increasing everyday violence at home, in the neighbourhood and on the streets.
As early as 1962, John Lennon described in the song ‘There's a Place’ (perhaps also under the impression of the Cuban Missile Crisis at the time with the acute threat of a third world war) that sometimes the only thing left to do is to retreat to an inner safe place when the outside world (as is now increasingly the case again) is increasingly on the brink of an abyss.
In this respect, this song is highly topical, although I would like to add that the search for the inner safe place should only ever be temporary, in order to regain strength there (for example through one's own musical creativity) in order to make a greater contribution to the preservation of the earth and human coexistence in the outer world.
I am sure that John Lennon meant this kind of fluid balance between gathering oneself inwardly and being lovingly in the world.

Manchmal frage ich mich, ob es auf dieser Welt eine Art "Sicherer Ort" gibt. Wo ich hinschaue: Kriege, Klimakatastrophen, Hungern und Armut. Ganz zu schweigen von der zunehmenden alltäglichen Gewalt zu Hause, in der Nachbarschaft und auf den Strassen.
John Lennon hat (vielleicht auch unter dem Eindruck der damaligen Kuba-Krise mit akuter Dritte Weltkriegsgefahr) in dem Song "There's a Place" schon 1962 beschrieben, dass einem manchmal nur der Rückzug an einen inneren sicheren Ort verbleibt, wenn die äußere Welt (wie jetzt zusehends wieder) zusehends an einem Abgrund steht.

Ich bin mir sicher, dass John Lennon diese Art von Fließgleichgewicht zwischen sich innerlich sammeln und liebevoll in der Welt sein gemeint hat.

I know this track is far from perfect but I have to publish this just so can I move on....  

I gave up with the vocals on this track, I could not make my mind up where to go with this.  The lyrics were about A Mural and how such beauty can cover up something ugly and defaced. I've left the title in as it felt fitting for this track.

A bit of US Country Rock going on here , Dave Cooper sent me the lyrics and I knew straight away this would work ! I got Kim on board to add a bit of flavour to the song , and this is the result , we hope you like it ! Nearly finished a new one with Dave , a bit of Folk Rock . Me , Gaz and Nat are up next with a cracker of a song , followed by a song written by David Dunham that me and Axel Menningen recorded , lovely song ! Then it's me , Skippy and Kim , followed by Kim and I , then a real belter me and Andrea Brennan put together about a week ago . Supersonic Dreamer

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a small group of music-loving aliens who decided to live among humans, blending in, absorbing their musical art, and trying to contribute with their own.😜
On a planet Earth plagued by wars, hatred, climate change, and junk food, with 99 percent of the wealth held by just 1 percent of humanity, these somewhat alienated aliens one day discovered that even the dark can be beautiful.
They discovered The Beautiful Dark (https://soundcloud.com/thebeautifuldark), simply Carl to his friends, living on a beautiful island not far from the chaos of the old continent, the noble Ireland.
So this little bunch of aliens with their questionably produced music decided that yes, absolutely, they had to at least try to pay tribute to that Earth artist who felt anything but Earthbound in his noble intentions.
They just had to do it. Especially after dear Carl helped ease the pain of our guitarist’s clumsy fall down the stairs with his poetry, music, and photography (she’s fine, don’t worry ). 😂

So here is our tribute to the awesome Carl. It’s a humble offering compared to his talent and refined art, but considering it was written, played, arranged, sung, produced, and mixed in just two days, it’s kind of a small miracle.
