THE HOUSE OF DAVID GANG is a Toronto-based reggae collective that delivers late 70s and early 80s style Jamaican reggae classics . Formed in Toronto over 15 years ago, the band is fronted by seasoned reggae veteran King Selah and whose members have included members of Resinators, Irie Band, Explorer Band, Revelation, Selassie I Power and many others. The House of David Gang got it's name from a House that a group of like minded Toronto Reggae Musicians lived in and who held after-hour reggae parties for several years which developed the musicians into some of Toronto's Top session players. For the past 15 years King Selah and the House of David Gang have hosted the Toronto Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer Tributes which have helped bring light to Toronto's burgeoning roots rock reggae scene. Now with a new line-up - The House of David Gang faithfully recreates the Bob Marley Sound - which includes 2 guitarists, 2 keyboardists and a strong rhythm section of Jah-Lin (drums) and Uncledropsi (bass).

Going all the way back to SBZ0014 was the last time we saw UK based producer JAXX featuring on our VA ep but now he's back for with a release all of his own bringing two mind-blowingly infectious jump up tracks forth for the Shiftin Beatz massive. Both 'Droppin' Gems' & 'Wishing Well' are strong solid pieces of production that demand movement across the dancefloor, you'll struggle to find people in the dance that these ones don't get jumping. Once again Jaxx comes to the table with some bang-on material showing the strength within his production, something that a lot of jump up of late can lack, but not in this case. Strong well written drums with thick domineering shredding basslines that attack the senses full on like a freight train, perfectly crafted for them massive switch moments in the rave that just get everyone skankin! With many dj's within the scene already repping this release it's only inevitable there be a big demand for these ones, essential for any jump up collection. With Jaxx pushing out material at an increasing rate on many labels as well as his own, he is only sure to continue to grow both here and across the pond
