This is the first single from the soundtrack for the documentary Rubble Kings (www.rubblekings.com), out on January 15 via Mass Appeal Records. Produced by Little Shalimar, the soundtrack, which is based on the score of the film, features appearances by Run The Jewels, Bun B, eXquire, Ka and Roxiny amongst others.

Rubble Kings tells the story of how a few extraordinary, forgotten people did the impossible, during the gang era of NYC and how their actions impacted the city and the world over by planting the seeds to what would become hip hop culture.

DJ Shadow, widely acknowledged as a crucial figure in the development of experimental, instrumental hip-hop, has returned with ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ via Mass Appeal Records [and Believe Digital in France], his first full length release since 2011. The 12-track album finds DJ Shadow exploring new realms in addition to the deep samples and kinetic soundscapes that helped to launch his career 20 years ago. On ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ he’s shifted further toward original composition, a vast experimentation of beats and textures, synthesizers and live instruments including horns and woodwinds. The album features Run The Jewels, Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall, Ernie Fresh and more.
