Your foot eases off the creaky clutch as your weathered shifter rests comfortably in your palm, a knife through butter into 5th gear. The road to yourself, you cruse at orbital speeds yet calmly as the hum of the motor comforts you on your journey to no where. You push the seat back a little further as  man kinds last cassette tape crackles in your console. The synths fade in and all that can be seen is streaking tail lights and the faint neon glow creeping out from under the louvers.
