In this interview Jackie talks of growing up in Caragh Lake, fishing, cutting turf his family and the people he knew. Jackie also talks about his time playing football for Laune Rangers & Glenbeigh and his time spend in London in the mid 60s working and playing football.

Michael (Mikey) O’ Connor,  Oulagh, Caragh Lake talks to Breda O’ Sullivan (Bealoideas) in May 2008 about growing up and living on the farm his father bought from the money he earned working in the gold mines in America. Michael also talks about his school days in Caragh Lake. He also recalls cutting the turf and set dancing in the bog and about farming and cutting the hay with the scythe and going the Glencar cattle show and the prizes he and the family won there.
