 Killwave call to mind such musical luminaries as Joy Division, Bauhaus and David Bowie but they are not imitators of any of these. The band brings something all their own to these influences. Despite these comparisons you may hear other analogs in the music--a hint of darkwave, a dash of Brit pop and being from Chicago certainly a smidgen of industrial rock.

The group is made up of George Pinto (vocals), Jim King (guitars & synths), Erik Pedtke (bass) and Bran X (drums).

A dreamlike mix of electronic dance and indie pop, Carried by Currents got their start when drummer Eric Sapp and multi-instrumentalist Scott Oltrogge first heard vocalist Kelsey Edington. The group blends her dynamic, potent vocals with a swirling mix of arpeggiated synths and driving electronic beats. Carried by Currents is inspired by electropop artists like The Knife, Chvrches, Iamamiwhoami, Jessie Ware and Banks and is based in Chicago.
