GABUXO é a expressão artística de Gabriel Chaves, DJ, clubber, cientista social, artista baseado em São Paulo e natural do Espírito Santo. Seu trabalho se destaca pela fusão imersiva e contagiante de gêneros eletrônicos em diálogo com o Techno. Marcado pela presença de texturas ásperas, sintetizadores frenéticos e grooves hiperestimulantes. O artista integra a nova geração em ascensão do underground brasileiro, colecionando passagens marcantes por capitais brasileiras como Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.
Enquanto arte, é nas atmosferas abrasivas, percussões intensas e hipnóticas e nos ritmos groovados e dançantes que sua identidade se consolida. Essa abordagem se materializa em sets que constroem cuidadosamente nuances e movimentos sonoros que transitam entre tensão, euforia e relaxamento. Explorando mixagens dinâmicas e frenéticas que bebem diretamente de sonoridades brasileiras e latinas, enquanto dialoga techno, hardgroove e hardtechno com subgêneros da bass music do sul global.
Atualmente, é residente na web-rádio mineira Function FM (BH), onde comanda o programa "Hora do Time Warp", trazendo DJs e resgatando referências clássicas da música eletrônica. É integrante do coletivo Parasita Sanguessuga, já ocupou as cabines de clubs renomados como D-Edge (SP), Deputamadre (BH), Abstratto (SP) e Zig Studio (SP), além de passar pistas de festas independentes como BUERO (SP), Masterplano (BH), TechnoPride (SP), Tesãozinho Inicial (SP), Dildo (BH) e VOLT (SP). Suas colaborações incluem rádios nacionais e internacionais, como Rinse FM (UK), Veneno (SP), Halfmoon (Nova York), Techno Lab (SP), Rixe Rádio (Paris), Subcultura (SP), HardUrban (Curitiba), DSTRB (Florianópolis) e Kraft Rec (BH).

GABUXO is the artistic expression of Gabriel Chaves, a DJ, clubber, social scientist, and artist based in São Paulo, originally from Espírito Santo(BR). His work stands out for its immersive and contagious fusion of electronic genres in dialogue with Techno, marked by the presence of rough textures, frenetic synthesizers, and hyper-stimulating grooves. As part of the new rising generation of the Brazilian underground, the artist has made his mark with memorable appearances in major cities such as Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
As an art form, his identity is consolidated through abrasive atmospheres, intense and hypnotic percussion, and groovy, dance-driven rhythms. This approach materializes in sets that carefully craft sonic nuances and movements, shifting between tension, euphoria, and relaxation. He explores dynamic and frenetic mixes that draw directly from Brazilian and Latin sounds, while weaving techno, hardgroove, and hardtechno with bass music subgenres from the global south.
Currently, he is a resident at the Minas Gerais-based web radio Function FM (BH), where he hosts the show "Hora do Time Warp," featuring DJs and reviving classic references in electronic music. He is a member of the Parasita Sanguessuga collective and has played at renowned clubs such as D-Edge (SP), Deputamadre (BH), Abstratto (SP), and Zig Studio (SP), as well as at independent parties like BUERO (SP), Masterplano (BH), TechnoPride (SP), Tesãozinho Inicial (SP), Dildo (BH), and VOLT (SP).
