My 4th album 'Chop Suey' is an exploratory journey of my heritage and sound. The album art is a painting by my late Grandfather, Fred Eng. It paints a vibrant scene straight out of the heart of San Fransisco's China Town. My Grandfather passed when I was 4 years old and unfortunately, due to the pressure to assimilate, much of my Chinese heritage has vanished. Through art, music, and photography I have the opportunity to rekindle that connection and explore my generational roots. This album is a homage to my ancestors and a rekindling of their wisdom that is in my DNA.

An unexpected and delightful aspect of "First Contact" is the artist's innovative choice of instruments Solid beats, heavy basslines and synths intertwine with sampled and resampled acoustic instruments. Layered even at times with textural orchestral strings, the compositions build up to breathtaking emotional passages that elevate the album's richness to new heights.

I absolutely love taking people on elevating transformative dance journeys! This one is my favourite one so far 🥰 If people aren't writhing around on the ground during my sets, then I'm not doing my job right 🫠🫠🫠 and boy were people enjoying the ground during this one! 

As I was privileged to play right after the legendary DMTB (seriously, go check his music out), I started my set quite high energy to match his, then playfully zigzagged my way to where I really wanted to take us: amongst the slower, more spacious, intricately layered, deeply emotional, fully expressive fractal medicine bass. It took an hour and 20 minutes before dancers were ready to connect with the floor 😁

There's just something magic that occurs when I play true psychedelic music, while on psychedelics, to people on psychedelics 🫠 🌈 🧚 🐉

This is the Fractal Flow Experience.

A special shoutout to Geometrae and Arcturus, these magnificent sonic wizards are a huge inspiration to me, and I weaved a fair amount of their tracks in this set 🙏🏽💛🌟
