Rummaging through the archives, looking for a specific track - couldn't find it yet - I know I have it. But I came across this ditty and decided to do some mixing work on it.

It's from 1997 I think, original 4 track recording, I was having a blast playing the slide guitar and just felt this vibe coming, decided to record it.

I do not regret it for one bit :)

ANOTHER ZERO (TO MY NAME)

I decided to write a song to celebrate my 60th birthday and came up with the line 'another zero to my name' and at the time I thought I really had something and was looking forward to working on an up-beat, happy song.
Age is becoming a big issue in my life right now, affecting my Mum and Mother-in-law, who are both in their late eighties. The ageing process is making life difficult in so many ways, and they do miss the simple pleasure of being able to go outside and feel the sun when they want to. It’s hard to watch, because they are both very special people who, against the odds, try and make each day worth waking up for.  The medical care they’ve received hasn’t always been too helpful, though.
Having observed this from such close range, it does appear that advances in this area haven’t focused nearly enough attention on the effects the ageing process has on their mental health. Lack of patient care for the old is scary at the best of times, but when it comes to how you actually ‘feel’, if your needs don't tick the designated boxes, they are, sad to report, mostly ignored. 
So that became what this song is about.  Not the first time that the writing process has taken a different direction to the one I’d expected, but certainly the first time I’ve fully completed a song in just half a day. I hope they like this protest song on their behalf and that I can help keep the sun shining.
When Hans agreed to listen to my demo and then to having a go at laying down a version, I couldn't wait to hear the result.  When Gary contacted me some weeks later and said, "You have got to listen to this", I still had no idea just how brilliant it would be. How on earth was I going to do a vocal that could even come close to matching that brilliance I didn’t know but, in the end, thought, “Who in their right mind would miss the chance?”  (Terry Reeves)

Anyone who has had the privilege of working with Hans (https://soundcloud.com/clouders_for), will know just how rewarding a process that always is, but what he did with this song really is something else again.  Neither of us can ever thank him enough for that.

Lisandro is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A country that continues to be one of the top sources for catchy and melodic deep electronica.

Only producing for a couple of years, Lisandro released on notable imprints such as Lost Desert’s Souksonic and Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas. Thanks to his distinctive productions, Lisandro already gained the attention of some of the scene’s most influential selectors. 

His music is characterised by a rich soundscape, dreamy melodies, sometimes with a psychedelic touch, as heard just recently on the fantastic Void EP on When We Dip's TOR imprint.
