We're delighted to premiere 'Razor' from New Zealand based seven-piece, Fat Freddy's Drop, taken from their forthcoming album, ‘BAYS’, out on October 23rd 2015.

Following the worldwide success of ‘Blackbird’ in 2013, the band are back with a 9-track LP recorded at the band’s BAYS Studio in Kilbirnie, Wellington a former 1950s HMV vinyl pressing plant. The lead single features the now signature sound of the band, beautifully melding reggae and jazz aesthetics with techno production.

Young's touch on the scene has been nothing short of infectious, and he continues to drive a roots progression by providing the perfect backdrop for upcoming singer/songwriter Phillips. "Grey Smoke" represents what I enjoy most about Young's production: a melodic bassline, unforced lead vocals, tasteful dubs, sewn together by a hypnotic melodica and supportive harmonies.
