PREMIERE: CTAFAD - Sun [Shanshui]

Membre du collectif @trevemusicofficial, @medulla_oblongata est constamment à la recherche de sonorités qui traduisent la justesse des émotions composées d'ambiances sombres parsemées d'espoir. Ses sets entre ambient, ambient techno et deep techno se veulent introspectifs et racontent toujours une histoire composée en puisant dans sa collection de vinyles, ses tape-loop DIY, des samples de films ou dernièrement dans ses propres productions.

A propos du mix :
Le premier mix que j’avais fait pour Radio Béguin était plus lumineux que ceux que je fais d’habitude et reste un de mes favoris. 
Du coup, j’ai décidé de composer celui-ci comme la suite du premier pour que l’histoire débutée puisse se poursuivre un peu plus longtemps…

PREMIERE: Post Apocalyptic - Lake Visions [Expérimental Label]

Mindful Life is the fourth full-length album by Italian composer and music therapist, Simone Gatto. It focuses entirely on the relationship between electronic music and emotional / bodily awareness, lending itself to meditative use at home or in storytelling DJ sets.

Combining reflective electronics with acoustic patterns and healing vocals, Simone invites the listener on an ethereal journey which removes the boundaries between mindfulness and electronic music, unearthing internal dialogue. The 11-track journey features intriguing collaborations with other music therapists and composers like Massimo Amato, Cristina Rosati, Angelo Molino and Flora Päär.

In the enveloping synthesized pads, specific compositional techniques (such as binaural beats and monaural, isochronic tones), the use of the voice, melodic scales played with acoustic instruments and unpredictable rhythmic arrangements, Mindful Life evokes the listener's imagination and accompanies them towards a profound emotional transformation; a greater expansion of consciousness.

This album is also an invitation to DJs and selectors to rediscover awareness of their place in history and society. Through these pieces it is possible to promote storytelling and conscious dance, a way to channel one's emotions and energies through physical expression, sonic response and free movement.

25.5.2021 / As a relatively new face on Czech scene, Marie Pravda quickly became one of its most acclaimed talents. Her involvement with the night life began behind the bar of Metro club in Olomouc, but as she grew weary of the bar's routine, she relocated to the DJ booth in 2016, then discovering her passion for seeking new music. After moving to Prague she became a resident of Radio Punctum and later a member of Planeta Za resident collective. Recently she became involved in the management of Prague’s Harmless Youth music label.
Her original interest in indie music transformed into love for everything instrumental and psychedelic within EBM and slow electro, soon becoming an avid digger who follows threads of music others rarely stumble upon. With an understanding of DJing as a method of storytelling, or as a chance to guide the audience from point X to point Y, she attains a certain level of melancholia while simultaneously retaining empowerment and freedom of interpretation.

25.5.2021 / Jako poměrně nová tvář na české scéně se Marie Pravda rychle stala jedním z jejích neuznávanějších talentů. Její účast v nočním životě začala za barem Metro clubu v Olomouci, ale jak ji začala unavovat barová rutina, přemístila se roku 2016 za DJ pult a objevila vášeň pro hledání nové hudby. Po přestěhování do Prahy se stala rezidentkou Radia Punctum a později členkou kolektivu Planeta Za. Nedávno se začala podílet na managementu pražského labelu Harmless Youth.
Její původní zájem o nezávislou hudbu přerostl v lásku pro vše instrumentální a psychedelické na poli EBM a pomalého electra a brzy se stala vášnivou hledačkou, která vytahuje hudbu, na kterou ostatní narazí jen vzácně. Protože  chápe djing jako metodu vyprávění nebo jako příležitost vést publikum z bodu X do bodu Y, dosahuje určité úrovně melancholie a současně si zachovává kontrolu a svobodu interpretace.
