Signature drones and haunting vocals meet playful melodies in a more slinked out, but recognisably Harrison style of house. Adorned with characteristically unpredictable yet precise percussion, the ep finds its way into a space as ominous as it is infectious.

To top it off is a remix from the one and only Ulo S (@reptant_the_lizard), marking the first release under the more tech-house leaning Reptant alias. This deep dub of Hey Crontis brings a euphoric end to the ep, hands up, shoulders still bopping to a bassline undeniably done by the lizard.

After Denzel’s debut EP ‘Techniques 4 Life’, the quest for finding those approaches continues. The Helsinki night owl draws from a range of influences here on his sophomore EP ‘Glorified Intake’, leading things into a murkier territory than his previous, with tracks made during a transitional period between two cities, H & B.

The first track HKI 13 is an ode to roots. The track is held together by a swerving astral arpeggio combined with chants from a village dance off and stabs that liken to that one Balearic house anthem… The Sun is well on its way below.

Nightrun reduces things to a darker core, howling into the night, embodying a state rather than telling a story. Time goes by, how is it already tomorrow? An after hours tune with a bassline for a hook. Doesn’t get much sleazier than that. Getting down, getting low.

On the flipside, we’ve made it to the beginning of the end, phased out the doubts and gathered up the strength to go on — things are looking brighter. A voice inside your head — trust only yourself.

Finally on the last stretch, light has subsided and darkness has landed once again. We’ve thrown out any notion of what, where and who. Those things don’t matter anymore: we’ve perfected “the state”. It’s go time.

Denzel - Nightrun

Pleasure Planet is back in orbit, summoning their favorite producers to reimagine the two lead singles from their self-titled debut album.

Earth Trax transforms Go With Madness into a euphoric peak time corker. Full of smiles and surprises, it’s a pure endorphin rush, and masterclass in making an irresistible dance track.

Maara goes with madness, cranking up the bpm, and conjuring a version that is deep into prog territory. A propulsive proto trance journey through winds and dungeon echoes.

On her version of Alien, Roza Terenzi casts a hypnotic spell of ghostly melodies and vocal hooks. Her deeper interpretation takes listeners on a breakbeat mission through sizzling electronics and emotive sub bass.

Alex Kassian’s Sphinx Gate Mix of Alien closes it out by slowing things down and transporting Alien into nostalgic territory with melodic arps and peak Haceinda-era breaks and bass. If you listen to his emotional remix carefully enough, you may hear a vocal response from Kim Ann’s partner Cora in its final fleeting moments.

Naarm/Melbourne-based Skinner jumps feet first into the prog-tex with his latest EP, 'Enzyme'. The release is the bottle-popping opener of UK-based label Pyramid Fields, a lovechild born from the overflowing reputation of its parent, Neptune Discs.

'Geographic Breakdown' is a chuggy, dance floor builder with foundations made of big bass, bit crushed vocals and slippery drum programming. With Skinner tens of thousands of kilometres away from Pyramid Fields' own home, 'Geographic Breakdown' is more than just a name, clearly.
