Riding high off the back of his much-lauded Second Mood EP on Diversions Music at the beginning of March, French maestro OXIA now teams up with Italian duo Artslaves for an unrelenting follow up package and his second stellar release of 2019. Due for release on May 3 via Deeperfect Records, the two-track For Real Extended Player sees OXIA team up with the Moan Recordings label bosses across both original offerings, in what is a truly formidable debut collaboration between the three in-form producers. A brooding roller complete with mind-bending synths and warped vocal chops, the title track gets the EP off to a mesmerising start its layers and textures twisting and amalgamating in perfect symbiosis across the tracks six-minute duration. On the flip, Over places crisp drums and an undulating bassline front and centre, adding delayed spoken-word samples and a marathon second drop to close out the EP in emphatic fashion. The release comes just three days before OXIAs remix of John Digweed &amp; Nick Muirs iconic track Satellite, which is due for release on May 6 via Bedrock Records. Ireen Amnes is a name that is constantly cropping up alongside some of the most established figures in London and Berlin's techno circuits from  Paula Temple to Aurora Halal, Headless Horseman and many more.

Aside from DJing, Ireen is a fiercely consistent producer and has released a slew of gritty, abstract and hard-hitting tracks on Metempsychosis Records, Hotflush and Kombinat to name a few, and also had one of her releases featured on Vatican Shadow's Berghain 09 mix.

Her debut EP on Instruments of Discipline drops on 23rd May and ahead of its release, we premiere  'Insurgent'. Maximum strength.

Counterweight started at the end of 2015 as a party-series in Munich (Rote Sonne). It was about pushing the style of techno we stand for and which we couldn’t find easily in our city. During this journey we’ve learnt a lot about what somehow sadly has to be called a business and we met many artists and people involved in the Techno Scene. We even made friends throughout the years and that’s one of the nicest things after all.

The first V.A. release on Counterweight is an installment with some excellent artists we met during this time, we love their music as much as we love them as a person. Four years ago we couldn’t even imagine we would release a record with some of our favourites artists … Now, check this out. Heavy Kick-Drums, destructive basslines, distorted hi-hats, mesmerising melodies and…lots of passion.
