Cosmin TRG's "Echolab Disaster" is one of eight exclusive tracks that appear on Brandt Brauer Frick's DJ-Kicks mix. The track was pressed onto custom dubplate vinyl in order to be included on the mix, which was recorded live during a day session at Berlin's famed Watergate club. Daniel Brandt elaborates: "I met Cosmin through the Red Bull Music Academy, and we have been talking about various collaborative projects ever since. I was always into his rough sound and he's a great DJ. That's why we asked him to do a track for the Kicks, and the track he delivered was a perfect tune to have in the harder section of the mix. It also is the perfect follow up for the Bok Bok & Tom Trago track before it, to level up the energy even more, and mixes very well with the MMM track afterwards."

Peter Kremeier, AKA Losoul, has always been an artist we’ve greatly admired here at Hypercolour, so it’s a real thrill to have him on the label at long last.  A huge catalogue of eclectic, distinctive and funky music for labels like Playhouse, Moodmusic and Freak ‘n’ Chic, Losoul turns in two exceptional tracks on the ‘Slowly Turning’ release here.

‘Daddy, What’s A Rise?’ is classic Losoul; a heavy low slung groove never lets up, with micro disco stabs and distant vocal snippets, looping round and round for over 10 minutes, but without ever standing still, the filtering and deft touches keep things moving at just the right funky pace.

B side cut ‘Time & Space’ is a glitchy and dubbed out affair, a solid 4/4 beat underpins a myriad of delayed percussion and panning synths, spatial effects and an incessant chord stab, head music for the heads indeed!

Losoul contributes to the Hypercolour resurgence that has pulled in left of center releases from the likes of Eliphino, West Norwood Cassette Library, Will Azada and Maya Jane Coles over recent months, with plenty more goodies lined up for the coming months ahead.

Fusing his trademark minimal techno into jazz inspired moods and inflections, Hood emerges from the smoke-lit shadows of a downbeat, but not beaten, Motor City metropolis. Inspired by Julien Temple’s documentary ‘Requiem For Detroit?’ Robert Hood examines the life, history and future of Detroit’s motor industry and its workforce, set against a backdrop of decay, despair, hope and re-birth.

As a first taster of the album we now present to you ‘Torque One’ (taken from the album) and an exclusive &amp; vinyl-only track to this 12”, called ‘Movement’. With this release, mister Hood delivers 2 timeless pieces of electronic music inspired by a jazzy, dreamy ‘Nighttime World’. Quality.

Funnuvojere’s latest instalment, Minority Resist, comes from Czech Republic and it’s signed by Martin Kuška under his moniker Goodbye Mirage.

Martin has been performing and producing ambient and synthy compositions under his real name for many years, releasing a few LPs for the US cassette labels Sacred Phrases and Origin Peoples, mostly influenced by writing, drawing and photography, as well as by the rhythms of village life. 

Funnuvojere’s new ethereal EP interweaves nostalgia for the past and reflections on the present. The EP is imbued with Martin’s memories of discovering Berlin’s Love Parade, the golden cradle of 90s trance and progressive house. Emotional tension and unexpected polymeters characterise the EP, with minimalistic notes rippling back from a distant future. Careful design produces a unique sound and grain that will blissfully envelop those lucky enough to hear it played.

Our next Seven Hills release Skies Over Sheffield returns the label to its Yorkshire roots. God’s own county yields this long-lost gem of a track courtesy of Sheffield legends and Bleep pioneers Forgemasters, with three new, home-grown remixes from John Shima, Luca Lozano and 96 Back to complement. 

The Forgemasters trio: Winston Hazel, Sean Maher and Rob Gordon first gained acclaim with their now iconic, Track with No Name and hold prestige as the first to ever release on Warp Records (WAP1). Skies Over Sheffield however, has been waiting in the wings ever since its conception back in the early 90s; for nearly two decades the sun had stayed set over the track which lay nestled in an old recording of Winston Hazel’s Sheffield Community Radio from 1992. So we’re very proud to announce the long awaited dawn break of Skies Over Sheffield on Seven Hills Records.

The provenance of this record has always been close to our hearts here at Seven Hills; accordingly, we wanted to have a concept for the remixes that kept close ties to the Sheffield music scene. As such, we have two tracks from born and bred producers - John Shima and 96 Back - alongside one from longterm resident and honorary ‘Sheffielder’ Luca Lozano.

Outlaw welcomes Tm Shuffle on its roster with his 'Waterside Dubs' EP.

Hailing from the forest of Ruutana in Finland, Vuo Records founder TM Shuffle has
been deliver his twist on contemporary dubbed out house and techno over the past years via imprint’s like Roger Gerressen’s Irenic, Translucent, Ranges and of course his own Vuo.
Here though we see him deliver his latest three-track EP via Outlaw, ending the release is ‘Nocturnal Dub’ rounds out the release on a stripped-back tip. Employing an amalgamation of sharp synth flutters which ebb and flow around one another amongst a minimalistic, swinging rhythm and expansive echoes.

Winter was fast approaching, turning the bright auburn and orange leaves underfoot crisp with cold. The grey landscape mirrored the expressions of the inhabitants that walked the streets. You'd be hard pressed to find a smile in these parts. Perhaps it was self-preservation, an "every man for themselves" mentality. Or maybe it was simply the turn in the weather; a sure dictator of mood in the city.

A celebration of the artists and friends who've worked with producer Thoma Bulwer at his TB Mastering studio in Hackney Wick, the next release on his own Parasol Culture imprint comes in V/A form, bringing together a huge line up of collaborators and affiliates. Aptly titled Wick Voyagers, the 14-track compilation showcases the sounds of the artists and their respective labels, featuring exclusive tracks from Voigtmann, Paranoid London, N-GYNN and Adam Curtain and, of course, Thoma himself alongside Anna Wall, Subb-an, Johnny Aux and Oli Silva.
