VERDAMMT heißt die nun dritte Single des im Februar 23’ erscheinenden Albums VERDAMMT NOCHMAL von ACUD. Staccato-Rhythmen stoßen auf vibrierende Klänge, die dem Ruf verführerischer Sirenen nahe kommen. Der Text: ein Anklage, sich dem größten Gefühl der Welt widmend. Dramatisch schraubt sich der Gesang in die Höhe, spuckt den Tanzenden letztendlich aber mit Schmackes wieder zurück in die Woge. ACUD bedient mit diesem Lied das selbst ernannte Genre „Dramatic Disco“ und generiert mit guter Dramaturgie einen emotional-feurigen Moment auf dem Tanzdeck.

VERDAMMT is the name of the third single from ACUD's album VERDAMMT NOCHMAL, which will be released in February 23'. Staccato rhythms meet vibrant sounds that come close to the call of seductive sirens. The lyrics: an indictment devoted to the greatest emotion in the world. The singing spirals up dramatically, but in the end spits the dancers back into the wave with a bang. With this song, ACUD serves the self-proclaimed genre "Dramatic Disco" and generates an emotionally fiery moment on the dance floor with good dramaturgy.

Berlin producer and Dada fan ACUD releases its first album "Verdammt Nochmal"! The Berlin musician, visual artist and label owner Lasse Winkler aka ACUD has attracted attention with titles such as MATJESFILET or VERBRENNUNGSMOTOR. He shows that electronic dance music can also have a sense of humor without ending in slapstick. Stylistically, he occasionally touches on genres such as indie dance, electro and acid house. Creaking basses and swinging rhythms meet warm synth chords and complement his bright voice. The microphone, always ready, replaces the notepad. Succinct, spontaneous keywords and sentences are created, snapping up everyday life.

On the 10-track album VERDAMMT NOCHMAL, the musicians are accompanied over a creative period of three years. ORTHOPÄDE is the name of the first track, a gaga break-pop number that doesn't take itself too seriously. This is followed by UNTER BÄUMEN, a melancholic late summer ballad with a stomping beat, which makes it clear what kind of atmosphere we are dealing with here. In SUPERMARKT his need for lemons and quark increases - always a guarantee for the good day he sings about. The fact that this cracker plays into your stomach and legs is due to the clear optimism of his voice, in addition to the warm creaking beats that would drag anyone out of bed. In the music video produced by the artist himself, which also stars actress Deborah Kaufmann (Dark) and is directed by artist Greta Ipfelkofer, the artist also expresses himself visually. So he builds up a complete paper backdrop in which life-size Mickey Mouse without ears are chasing people who are more and more greedy for money and are looking for a way out of their self-inflicted mess.

ACUD's productions always contain a portion of punk. Having grown up with illegal raves, the then 20-year-old got to know the pulse of Berlin's techno scene. Later working as a booker and club operator, in 2012 he founded the music label "KELLER" with fellow DJs, which specializes in promoting talented producers. Since then he has been producing and releasing electronic dance music.

The song SCHNABELGAUL comes along as a system criticism in Dada garb. For the drum recordings, the artist even temporarily moved to the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin. In VERDAMMT, producer and "Frittenbude" musician Jakob Häglsperger aka "Kalipo" grabs the bass lines, staccato rhythms meet vibrating sounds that come close to the call of seductive sirens. The lyrics: an indictment devoted to the greatest emotion in the world. The singing spirals up dramatically and finally spits the dancers back into the wave with tasty treats.

VERDAMMT NOCHMAL will be released on vinyl and digitally on KELLER on March 03, 2023.

Toronto’s JADE (CA) makes a welcome return to Kindisch with more of her atmospheric house grooves alongside a remix by Doubtingthomas.

JADE (CA) has had a few years away from making music but before that was established on labels such as No.19 Music, Motek and Kindisch. The Canadian has now been part of the underground for 15+ years after first being mentored by Jonny White aka Art Department. She built a unique signature sound early on with deep, dark basslines underneath infectious hi-hats and plenty of alluring synths, and now shows she still has plenty to say on her return.

Her fantastic 'Dreams and Schemes' is an inviting mid-tempo groove with sensual vocals smeared into the mix. The drums swing low while undulating chords are warm and liquid as they draw you ever deeper into a state of late-night and intimate hypnosis. Some exotic strings define the breakdown and bring a real touch of class to the whole tune.

Remixer Doubtingthomas is French artist Aurelien Riviere, someone known for his nuanced house on labels like Serialism and 20:20 Vision. His remix is more direct but no less deep and dubby. It's a dynamic sound with swirling solar winds and spaced-out pads that sway about the mix to colourful and trippy effect.

This superb single marks a great return to form for JADE (CA).
